Cargo Handling in new version

Hi guys - can anyone help me?  Am playing in Croydon, so not sure if my problem is "world specific" or affects every one.

I can't seem to find where/how I allocate cargo to a ground service provider.  In the old version, you set up a contract, and applied it to the flight  Can't seem to do that in the new version.

There is a tab on each station page that allows you to assign flights (pax) to terminals, and you can also do it on the scheduling page, but can't seem to find how to do that for cargo.

I have lots of contract with providers, but can't find out which flights have cargo handling. I can see the contract on the "Ground Services" tab on the station page, but it no longer has info about which flights are having cargo handled.

Must be a bit rough if you are an all cargo airline using a range of private providers...

With our ground handling now working in total figures/capacity rather than in contract, can we get a tool that allows us to combine ground handling contracts that are with the same provider.

Any help appreciated...

Cheers - Linds38

You don't have to assign any cargo contracts anymore. It doesn't make any difference for your offer in which cargo building the freight will be handled. Therefore the system automaticly handles the freight based on your contract as long as there is capacity left. The rest will be done by public cargo handler again for standard price.

Thanks for your reply.  So that now means that I cannot be selective about what cargo is handled by the public cargo handler for the standard price, and what is handled privately at a cheaper price.  The ability to select which cargo is handled privately or publicly was, for me, financially important.  On flights/city pairs where I had over (for example) 85% load capacity, it would be cheaper for me to have this managed by a private provider offering a discounted handling rate of 15%.  If the load was less than that 85%, it was more efficient to leave it with the public handler who only charged by the unit. Would you say that that is a feature/option that no longer exists in the new version?

Similarly, if I have handling contracts with more than one private provider (at different rates), it is not possible to assign which cargo is handled by who to ensure the most cost effective management of cargo based on load.

(I hope I am making sense...)

It seems like the focus of the game is moving far more towards just pax, and the cargo side of it has not received the same attention.

It doesn't make any influence. If you have booked a total capacity of 10,000 cargo units and need handling for 12,000, it doesn't matter which flight you are assigning, you always have to pay the 10,000 contracted and 2,000 not contracted in total.

@Linds38 - At the end it does not make any difference financially, only aesthetically (visually). If you run 10,000 unit at city ABC, and out of these, you had 3,000 units assigned to private providers for flights with 85% cargo load capacity, you would still use the same load capacity and at the end of the day your total expenses and total revenue will stay the same as in the old version. It's just that the capacity is now assigned "virtually" to those flights, instead of physically.

I would make one step more and say that it helps you saving costs. If you haven't assigned the complete amount yet, the system automaticly uses the capacities until they are totaly used. In the old system only the assigned flights used the contract maybe leaving some capacities unused.
