Cheating in Riem already !!!

So far I've been impressed with how the low demand in Riem seems to have finally put off the 'cheaters' that are all too common in new game worlds . . .

. . . but it looks like someone has already found a way around the rules. I'm not naming any names because I know you're not supposed to do that, but this 'user' just registered in Riem on the 21st of March and started their airline on the 22nd, so only 2 days ago. Somehow they have amassed quite a sizeable fleet in that time which would easily require a Security Deposit of more than $20 million ASD by my estimates. This new company is not a subsidiary of another company as far as I can tell and yes I have already reported them.

I have absolutely no idea how they've managed to pull this off, other than a straight hack of the game, very strange . . .

It might be possible if he/she liquidate his previous subsidiary, which operated with a profit in somewhere else, then open a new subsidiary with the same holding in another country.

I don't think that has happened in this case, because the actual User/Managing Director of this airline only registered on the 21st of March. If the User had registered at the start of the game world in the beginning of March, then your scenario could be possible, but if the User completely resets their account, I can not see how they would be able to take any of their previous earnings from their old account to the new one.

tnyuen, not if the user is registered 1 day ago.

It does look awkward. Anyway, the user has been reported and sk will investigate it. If the guy is cheating, it's not the first deletion on Riem and won't be the last.

Wow thanks for the most important info.

Sadly I am too lazy to find which company

If it ius reported, I will check this.

I’m sure that the AS Team will take care of it, if in fact there is something suspicious going on. I just wanted to bring it up on this forum because I am completely confused as to how this user is managing to do this, at the start of other game worlds where there were also suspected ‘cheats’, it was pretty obvious what they were doing and how they were doing it, but this is completely different. I only stumbled across this by looking through fleet lists, so I just want to warn other players to keep a look out for things like this and report them if they think something looks very strange. Riem has been going quite well so far, if a bit slow in the start (but thats to be expected with only new aircraft and low demand) so it would be a shame if a few ‘cheats’ came along and spoiled the fun for everyone else . . .

Well I see that airline. I don’t know whether he is cheating or not. But he gonna kill his airline very soon

I don’t know how they’re doing it, but I would say it’s definitely cheating of some kind. They actually own two of their aircraft, one of which is a widebody, even with a loan purchase that’s about $15 million ASD alone, with all their other aircraft they would have needed more than $30 million. If you only start with $10 million, how do you suddenly make $20 million in 2 days when you’ve only transported 2,500 passengers and 100 units of cargo ?

I believe that he is using his “owned” aircraft as base for further loans. Then he uses those loans to lease those planes. But once the interest kicks in. That’s not something good to live with.

. . . but they only have two ‘owned’ aircraft, one is a regional jet the other a widebody. The regional jet is $3.5 mil for a loan purchase, the widebody is $15 mil. Therefore they can only buy the regional jet at first with the $10 million start-up money . . . does that then allow them to get a $15 million loan for the loan purchase of the widebody ?

I really don’t understand the loan system at all, but this still doesn’t make any sense to me ?

If the user uses the auction market, it is very likely that he/she pays only 10% for the purchase, making the widebody 5mil and 1.5 mil for the regional.

And yes, it doesn't make any sense anyway

Ok, I think I’m beginning to understand !!!

Anyway, we’ll just have to see what the AS Team decide and if they decide there’s no cheating then there’s a good chance (as you mentioned) that this airline won’t last very long anyway. But if they’re a runaway success, then perhaps I need to re-think my strategy  . . .

It was supposed to be a low demand server but I saw a Cargo company in Riem profiting excessively using 763F and 777F from ANC-HKG route and priced at about 1000+ AS$.

I thought the demand should be much "harder" which should affect his flight rating. And now this companies have more than 10+ fleet of cargo planes.

Is this some sort of another loophole where "demand" and "price" doesn't seems to be hard on this server.

If a normal server has say 20 times as much demand as is possible to fullfill with 1200x10mil worth of only new aircrafts and Reim has for example half normal demand it’s still 10 times more then initial supply. I think it will be a few weeks until we start to get a feeling for just how much lower the demand is.

I'm interested to understand this "cheating" concept. So if a startup spends all its start capital to buy one plane outright, then uses this to secure a loan to buy the next one and so on-- in which way does this differ from some real-world business??   If it's possible then why is it cheating? After all, if it's possible then anyone can do it if they are clever enough.

Just a question.

...and why have you been reported?
