Connecting flights w/o interlining

Hey, new player here, absolutely thrilled by this sim! Question re connecting flights: without interlining agreement, will some amount of my passenegers still continue their journey on other airlines even with no agreements in place? So can I benefit from optimizing my schedule feeding into a big hub to feed other airlines (increasing my demand, maybe)?

without an IL, pax will not consider any other airlines and connections but your own.
