Corrections + Additional Airports in Indonesia

Hello everyone!

First of all, thank you very much for the amazing simulation game and I am looking forward to continue playing. Here, I would like to contribute corrections and additions regarding Indonesian airports as follows.

Data Corrections:

  • Luwuk (LUW) runway is 2250m, demand should be around 2 to 3 because it has around 5 major airlines flight everyday
  • Sumenep (SUP) runway is 1600m
    - Pangkal Pinang (PGK) runway is 2,250m
  • Samarinda (AAP), demand should be around 3 to 5 instead of just 2 - it has 10 major airlines flight everyday, plus several more pioneer flights
  • Dobo should be considered as part of Maluku / Papua instead of Sulawesi
  • Haji Muhammad Sidik (HMS) should be renamed to “Muara Teweh - Haji Muhammad Sidik”
  • West Kutai should be renamed to “Melak - West Kutai”
  • Ngloram should be renamed to “Cepu - Ngloram”
  • Dewadaru should be renamed to “Karimunjawa - Dewadaru”

All of those airports were routinely served by pioneer airlines such as Susi Air and Smart Aviation’s Cessna 208B or Pilatus Porter, so the demand for passengers is “1”. All datas were sourced from Indoavis (https://www.indoavis.co.id/main/page/aero) and Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Indonesia (https://hubud.kemenhub.go.id/hubud/website/) website which considered a reliable sources.

Also perhaps, I think it would be good if the Pilatus PC-6 Porter and Cessna 208B Grand Caravan (Passenger) may be made available for purchase, especially in Paine Game World.

Best Regards,

Eka (ef7a, Eka Aviation - Paine game world)

Hi Eka,

Glad to hear you are enjoying the game so much!

And a big thanks for providing such detailed information about these airports. We will include this into a next data patch.

As for new airports, it is good to mention that an official IATA code + verifyable scheduled commercial services are the minimal requirements for us to add the airport. Will look into this!

The PC-6 is not currently in the game. It like many of the small aircraft do not have great data but Ill revisit it at a later date.
I have corrected the dates for the 208 family as they should be available. You’ll see it on the next update.

Thank you very much for the replies..

I’d like to put some more additional corrections:

  • I think Semarang (SRG) should have more slots, presently it is just one flight per five minutes. Since 2018, Semarang already has a new, much bigger terminal and much wider apron area. Compared with other airports in similar scale such as Surakarta (SOC) and Yogyakarta Adisucipto (JOG) which has 3 flight slots per five minutes, I think SRG should have at least 3 flight slots per five minutes.
  • Jakarta Soekarno Hatta (CGK) slot also should be increased. Since 2019, the airport already has three runways and Terminal 3 already fully build. I think in terms of the scale, it should be equivalent to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) which has 11 flight slots per five minutes.
  • Serui (ZRI) runway is 1600m, not just 556 meters..
  • Fakfak airport has moved from the old one (FKQ) to new airport (FAK - yes you read it right!), with the runway length is now 1600m (the old one was just 1200m). The ICAO code is still WASF. Coordinate: 2°55’41"S 132°5’22"E
  • Nabire also has moved to the new bigger airport. The IATA and ICAO code is unchanged (NBX-WABI), but the runway is now 2500m (the old one was just 1600m). It presently served by two major airlines using 737 and A320, plus several Cessna and ATR flights, so the demand should be increased to around 3-4. Coordinate: 3°23’53"S 135°23’50"E

All runway and coordinate data sourced from Indoavis Nusantara » Geo-Informatics Aeronautical Navigation Services

Sure! The airports listed were routinely served by Susi Air and Smart Aviation with their Cessna Grand Caravans. The schedule can be seen here: instagram(dot)com/susiairofficial/ and instagram(dot)com/smart.cakrawala.aviation/. Some even serving more than twice flights per day and act as bases for pioneer flights, such as Dabo Singkep, Masamba, Pangandaran and Malinau.

Thank you! Looking forward to it
