Now that it looks like the sanctions between the US and Cuba look to be ending as of today. Are we now going too be able to now fly from the US to Cuba, for example MIA-Havana?
Although the sanctions are being eased, they haven’t yet been abolished. Previously, Americans could only travel to/from Cuba with a special authorisation. Going forward, they still require an authorisation, but it will be easier to obtain one for travel for one of twelve allowable categories. Tourism is not one of these categories. Until true freedom of movement is possible, I doubt that there will be any scheduled travel between the two countries.
