I would like to delete some of my posts that I see totally useless but I can not and if I edit them and say "Could some one please delete this?" nothing happens. Is there a way of getting rid of posts?

As a user, posts cannot be deleted, not even your own. Only moderators can, but since the moderators (for the EN/DE forums anyway) are the AS team, I'd personally rather they spend their time working on the game (and the underlying business that keeps the game online) rather than moderating forums.
Furthermore, very few people go back and read old threads, especially since the forums do have a "jump to first new post" function. There's no guarantee that a moderator has seen your edited request to delete. A user could use the "Report" function to draw attention to it, but that's extra work for the user and the moderator. It's easier to just let the thread fade into obscurity.

Well instead of wasting moderators time why could we not delete it our selves?
