Hello. I have a question about the demand calculation.
Are O/D passengers (non-connecting) allowed to book before connecting passengers, or does the system just rely upon the demand calculation time on a first-come first-serve basis?

It goes, I think, alphabetically by the destination airport. So if you are flying A to D, then people connecting ADB and ADC would get booked on AD before direct passengers on AD. Don’t take this as a bible though, it is just my assumption.

I am pretty sure the ORS doesn't book O/D passengers before connecting passengers.
When airport A sends out passengers, the ORS will look for possible routes to get to airport B, airport C, and so on. That could be a direct flight, or it could be a connected flight.
However, I don't have a clue if the list of destinations for each airport is an alphabetical list. Also, passenger demand has been changed over time. We don't know whether new destinations were added, nor if these new destinations were just added to the bottom of the list or inserted on their alphabetical position.
