Dev Log Week 2025-15: Limited Resources

This is going to be a quick one: As written the week before, I spent the little time I had available on looking into resource allocation in AirlineSim. By that I mean things like database connections and threads, and how much of these are allocated to different areas of the engine. All in an attempt to make the overall system more stable under high load.

This work is finished, but I didn’t dare to release it at the end of week 15 because I needed a continuous time window for monitoring and potential hotfixing…something that’s hard to come by at the moment. That said, I plan to roll out a patch later today. Fingers crossed

A quick look ahead: As mentioned several times before, private matters are keeping me very busy at the moment. Just as planned, we received the keys to our new house last week. Consequently, we’ll be busy packing up this week and then, next week, we’ll finally move house (and I’ll be out of office for that reason)!

I will try to squeeze in some dev work here and there. But again: Apologies for the meagre updates and thank you very much for your understanding! Here’s me hoping that things will look a lot more productive starting in May!
