Going to keep this short as I’ve got a sick kid at home and am feeling a bit under the weather myself:
Naturally, last week was all about the re-launch of Yeager and the 6.11 release I bundled with it. All in all, this went fairly smoothly, given that I spent the better part of 2 months on a serious refactoring, touching pretty much 100% of the game’s codebase. There were and still are a few issues which I addressed as they came in. Pretty sure this is going to continue like this for a little bit longer…so expect more entries on the 6.11 change log thread over the coming days and weeks.
Once things cooled down a bit, I turned my attention to the next launches. As mentioned on the blog, the delay of Yeager meant that I had to delay the relaunch of Quimby as well. So I sat down and drew up a plan of upcoming game world (re-)launches, including speculative ones like the “next” game world (for which I am taking naming suggestions, by the way) and new mid- and long-term game worlds. Since the latter two depend when “next” will start and how well that goes, I don’t want to spill the beans on them just yet. But I can say with a certain level of confidence that Quimby XVII should open sometime mid-August.
Last but not least, a spent a bit more dev time on the new API. But I won’t bore you with the details right now…you’ll read more on this feature over the coming issues anyway.
