My plan was to wrap up the navigation structure brainstorming I started last week on Monday (which I did), then get started on a quick maintenance patch to clear a few items off my long backlog, release said patch on Wednesday and then pick up work on the new design again. Unfortunately, one bug in particular took me a lot longer to fix than I anticipated, because it involved the flight planning system, a notoriously complex and…uhm…“organically grown” part of the game. This system is ripe for a rewrite to clean up a few sins from the past. But that’s something I’ll likely look into whenever I start working on Aircraft Pools as these will almost certainly require quite a few substantial changes to how flight planning works anyway.
As the remainder of the week was mostly about admin, I conclude this (for once) very short issue of the devlog ![]()
