Does passenger increase both ways on Interline?

When you interline with a partner, does it increase passenger bookings from your hub (airport A) to your partner’s hub (airport B), or only from airport B to A (or both)?

I have a problem with uneven passenger booking. For example I have low demand from Airport A (my hub) to Airport B, but flights from Airport B to Airport A is always nearly full on the first day. So will adding interline (based in Airport B) increase passengers from Airport A to B? Or do I need to add more connection flights to my hub to increase the number of passengers wanting to fly to Airport B?

You have high bookings from airport b to a because airport a is your hub and you obviously will have connections at your hub, therefore increasing the amount of passengers. The bookings from airport a to b can be improved by

a) having a good interlining partner at airport a

B) increasing ratings and decreasing price

c) providing better connections in airport a. This could help if someone wanted to fly from airport c to b. You could have an earlier flight from c to a and then fly to b. However if you are using this strategy take into account the minimum transfer time of your airport a.

hope this helped
