Also im letzten Jahr gab es auf Devau doch ähnliche Probleme wie jetzt auf Aspern und es gab damals schon überlegungen diese Spieltwelt zu schließen. Soweit mir bekannt ist läuft seit dem Devau alleine auf einem Server und die Hardware wurde ausgetauscht. Seit dem läuft Devau doch sehr stabil.

Freeze users from logging in is much better in this way. No data processed at the time server is shut temporarily, and they must identify the problem laying behind the backlog, not only to catch up the backlog.
Flights operating but nothing happens on bank account? Its getting worse.
Looks to me as Stapleton is catching up but veeeeery slowly. I hope it's like Martin speculated, that it might get better when Aspern is up to date again, which might be the case soon. *fingers crossed*
Hey, AS Team - is it technically possible for you to inspect finances 2 or 3 weeks back? Seems to me that my airline got hit after all, but if it's already too late, I won't even waste your time and write a support request.

Aspern has been extremely slow for me over the last few dys. Anyone else noticed?
Yeah, the backlog has caught up, but most parts are still slow as heck (albeit still much better than last week). Let´s wait and see what happens once Stapelton´s backlog has caught up as well.
For me personally its really dissapointing to see that the server and the team has such big trouble to keep stapleton up and running continously. It really takes the fun out of the game for me when the servers are so slow and sometimes get stuck while loading pages and I am really dissapointed that we all are still paying full price for that. For me Stapleton hasn´t been stabel in the last two weeks. Either I could´nt log in or if I pass the log in I get somewhere stuck while loading some page within stapleton. If I wouldn´t have a well runing airline on stapleton I would have already left the server.
I do understand that the team is doing as much as possible to keep the servers running and get them as fast as possible back on track in case they crash, but the contiuing problems over the last days are just frustrating and I hope that you do whatever it costs (literally) to get the Stapleton Server back to the old perfomance, so that the players can enjoy it again to play on that server. Cause right now the only thing I can play on stapleton is the "log-in and crash" game....

Currently the backlog is melting - now down to some 5 hours - so it's looking good that it might be back in time again somewhen tomorrow.

We aren't. It might have escaped your attention, but credit comsumption was recently disabled (albeit quite late).
So credit consumption should be disabled for somehow longer term instead the server is still not stable.

They'll probably keep credit consumption off for a while. They are smart guys, and they know what is right.

Just to make it official: Both Aspern and Stapleton are back to normal without any backlog. If you still encounter serious performance issues, please let us know.
We'll leave credit consumption deactivated for a while longer, the exact amount of time will have to be decided on over the course of the coming days.
If I find the time I'll write a post-mortem on the dev-log next week to try to explain what has happened, what our conclusions are and how we intend to avoid such issues in the future.

Nur um es offiziell zu machen: Sowohl Aspern als auch Stapleton laufen wieder normal und ohne Rückstand. Solltet Ihr trotzdem auf nennenswerte Performance-Probleme stoßen, lasst es uns bitte wissen.
Wir lassen den Credit-Verbrauch noch für eine Weile ausgeschaltet. Über den genauen Zeitraum werden wir im Verlauf der kommenden Tage aber noch entscheiden müssen.
Wenn ich die Zeit finde werde ich nächste Woche eine Zusammenfassung im Dev-Log verfassen in der ich versuchen will zu erklären, was passiert ist, welche Erkenntnisse wir daraus gewonnen haben und wie wir derartige Probleme in der Zukunft vermeiden wollen.
