Farnborough Air Show 16.+17. July 2016

Hello friends,

is there anybody who is going to visit the Farnborough Air Show next month? I will be there on the public saturday  with my father in law (an aviation model builder, but non airlinesim player) for the very first time. Although i´m playing an UK based airline in Airlinesim, i am not from the UK ;) . I will fly in from germany on thursday before the event and staying in London.

Even if not: does anyone knows, if the Bombardier CS100 will be there?

Greetings

André

Sadly I can not come this year but I will be following most of it online and I will be watching some press conferences when I have time.

Yes, I think both the CS100 and CS300 will be there.

Unfortunately, the CS100 wasn´t there on public saturday (maybe it was at easyjets´ base LTN at this time?)

On the other side, i saw an impressive A380 show. Never flown with it and not working at the airport, so i´ve never been so close to this plane:

The A380 is a dream to fly in. I have flown with Emirates A380s a couple of times and since December I see the A380 flying over me at 3000 feet when I walk my dog. It quite feels how big she is and she is very stable, I have been in some turbulent areas when flying with her and she handles them surprisingly well and the voyage is always smooth. Add the fantastic Emirates service to the picture and you are in heaven for an aviation lover.

I recently took a video of a landing A380 in ZRH

Titanic of the sky...!

Currently I prefer an A320 to fly, way smaller and agile enough to fly.. When I have the chance to upgrade to A330, maybe I will have a new favorite, but an A380 seems too big to handle for now..

If anyone is considering visiting either Farnborough or the Paris Salon at Le Bourget, I highly recommend paying a little extra and going on the trade days.

Many aircraft don't hang around for the public days, some even departing after the first trade day has ended.
