Apparently, one flight was not instanced on this aircraft because of some slot issues.
However, today at 19.30 HT, when flt. 1075 for date 16/03 was instanced, an automatic transfer should have taken place to PTY from JAX, where the aircraft was "misplaced". This transfer has obviously not taken place, and the following flight at 00.10 form PTY to LGA was cancelled.
Also, when the flight 1066 was cancelled tonight (00.10), that should have triggered automatic aircraft transfer. That has not taken place as well, and I had to do a manual transfer. The aircraft had 87% condition and pilots assigned.
Why has neither of the automatic transfers on the two occasions taken place?
(first occasion - instancing, noticing wrong current airport,
and second occasion - flight cancellation, noticing different current and future airport).
Why has neither of the automatic transfers on the two occasions taken place?
I think that automatic transfers are only booked if the airplane initially is in the wrong place to start it's schedule during the setup, not if there are some holes in the middle of planning.
Otherwise you could exploit it by running a broken schedule and have the airplane transfer “for free” every week between two airports that have to little traffic to make business sense to make a bookable flight.
