FlyRuss, Russia's premier carrier

The CEO has gone NUTS with the new plane smell! He has brought out his big 1 billion dollar wallet and gone on a shopping spree at Mitsubishi, Boeing and Airbus. In the last weeks he has signed on for 50 A220-300s, 55 A321NEOs, 50 A320NEO, 100 CRJ700 NextGen and 8 787-10. This all means that FlyRuss will be taking on 6 new planes every day feeding the beast’s expansion. Overall it is all part of our ATON Ultimate plan. Our set goal is to touch every country in the world from Russia. This will be achieved through a brand new large scale fleet which will total 1400 aircraft. Split in:

  • 500 A220 family aircraft (238 currently)

  • 500 A320NEO family aircraft (375 currently)

  • 150 787 family aircraft (73 currently)

  • 250 CRJ family aircraft (100 currently)

Further goals are to transport 4 million passengers per week and make half a billion in profit every week. Moscovia and Amurair will be kept at current scale (110 aircraft each) with the aim of making 20 million profit per week each. The plan is for this all to be achieved in the coming months.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

This is the first Christmas and new year for FlyRuss. Christmas is celebrated twice at FlyRuss, both on the 25th of December and 7th of January. We want to allow all to celebrate Christmas with their families. Therefore, we allow all staff to choose which date they want to get time off and we operate limited service on these days. This allows our systems to be updated. Something which is impossible under normal operation. We have to the same policy for Easter.

As a Christmas present the CEO has ordered 10 brand new 787-10 for FlyRuss. As soon as these planes arrive they will be pressed into service to the far east. FlyRuss has just opened up 11 more Chinese destinations from DME as well as Jeju, Seoul Gimpo, Kuala Lumpur and soon also Bangkok. This is the largest long haul expansion in FlyRuss history. It is truly a spectacular feat.

Since FlyRuss decided to start acquiring regional jets in the mainline carrier there have been constant rumours from the aviation news agencies on what our eventual plan is. This is because we already operate two carriers in Russia which operate similarly sized aircraft being Moscovia for the Ejet and Amurair for the CRJ and Superjet.

Moscovia operates with a very special business model. It only operates older aircraft which all are incredibly cheap. It is also a completely stand alone brand operating from it’s own hub with no integration with FlyRuss at all. While Amurair operates only new aircraft as a feeder carrier for FlyRuss. We have already seen that we can massively increase loads and save costs by integrating operations. This was the case with Moscovias operation at SVO being absorbed by FlyRuss. After that integration loads increased by 5% and so did also profits.

With this in mind we have therefore decided to massively downscale Amurair and integrate that operation into mainline FlyRuss. After this integration we have seen similar results to what we expected and we are incredibly happy with the overall results. Integrating the KHV hub into one carrier has also allowed us to massively optimise the KHV hub by brining in larger aircraft on particularly popular routes. This has further increased feed and lowered costs. Profitability at KHV is mainly dependant on the 25 787s which operate flights between Europe and KHV. While the regional jet flying is usually profitable the real profits are generated by the 787s. By having the hub taken over by FlyRuss we calculate savings of about 2 million dollars per week.

We look forward for an exiting year ahead. In this new year we will greatly expand and FlyRuss will solidify it’s position as the airline connecting the east and the west. It is an exciting time ahead!

FlyRuss has just received it’s 1000th airplane! This is a brand new Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner registered as RA-00013 and named “Millennial Girl”. She has just been delivered today and has already been pressed into service flying on the Moscow Domodedovo to Kunming route. She is taking over from a 787-9 (Siamese Queen) who now flies to Bangkok. We have further upgraded Dometodovo to Dubai to the 787 in order to cater to the increased demand due to the EXPO2020. The CEO has just come back from spending 8 days at the expo and absolutely loved it. FlyRuss participates through the Russia Pavilion. The Siberian town of Chita will now also see daily 787 service to Moscow. We are overall seeing multiple 787s put increasing capacity on existing flights while slots are so scarce. The planes they are replacing are mostly reassigned to other bases.

Due to lack of demand and shortage of 787s and slots the Kuala Lumpur route has been shifted to Singapore where we connect with our partner Singapore Merlion Airlines. Of course we offer the Singapore Sling aboard. We have downsized the Kuala Lumpur service to only 3 days per week using an Airbus A321LR. Together with the 3x weekly services from Sheremetyevo to Kuala Lumpur we are able to offer a connection between these two global hubs most days of the week. Once our partner Malay Pride grows we will hopefully have the demand to reinstate the daily 787 flights. Until then all passengers from Domodedovo to Kuala Lumpur on days when there is no service are advised to take the shuttle to Sheremetyevo or connect to Kuala Lumpur through Singapore, Bangkok or Tashkent.

First Class has finally arrived at FlyRuss! FlyRuss has just launched First Class and this isn’t any old First Class. This is the absolute premier flying experience anywhere in the world. In a no expenses spared way we have truly developed a spectacular product with an even more spectacular service offering on the side. Just the catering alone for these flights cost about 100$ per passenger. The new product will be branded as First by FlyRuss and comes in two forms. On some select routes from Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo we offer First only CRJ700s and CRJ1000s. These planes are equipped with either 14 or 18 completely private and luxurious suites. Right now we have 4 of these aircraft and are planning to soon have 10. The other First by FlyRuss is onboard aircraft where Business and Economy are also offered. The same seat and service are used just that the plane is not first class private. The planes are mostly select 787s flying on premium heavy routes or routes to partners also offering First Class.

The experience on First by FlyRuss is truly unique. It starts with a private luxurious limousine pick up from the adress of your choice to one of our First by FlyRuss lounges. ATON Family Services has build specific terminals at all our hubs for First by FlyRuss. These terminals have their own check in and security and our fully private jets will park directly outside the lounge, making the experience a breeze. For the larger aircraft a private limousine will take First passengers directly from the lounge to the plane. Onboard the service is carried out by butlers from some of the most luxurious hotels in the world. On all routes there are a maximum of 3 First passengers for every butler, on longer haul routes it is always 2 First passengers per butler. We are certain that this is the best first class in the world and welcome you onboard a truly spectacular experience!

Regarding the business side of the adding First by FlyRuss it is pretty simple. We still hold by the philosophy that our Business Class is good enough and there is no need for First class. What we didn’t account for is that there is a very small group of passengers that are completely nuts and will pay anything for the best they can get. Therefore we have chosen to also cater to these passengers and so far First by FlyRuss has been incredibly profitable for us. Offering First also allows us to fly bigger aircraft for example replacing an A320 with an A321+First which in turn offers lower costs for every seat. While there certainly isn’t demand everywhere for first there are certain routes where the demand exists and we are trying to profit from it. Overall we expect to soon fly about 10,000 first class passengers per week and offer the service on 50 of our 620 routes. It certainly is feasible and profitable.

FlyRuss launches the first route between London and Hong Kong! We are very pleased to launch this historic route. It all started when the CEO wanted to get in the same day from one meeting in London with the CEO of Air Romania to another meeting in Hong Kong with the CEO of Royal China. He discovered that bizarrely there were no direct flights on this route. Therefore he choose to connect in Moscow with FlyRuss. When watching the on board map he realised that Moscow is exactly under the flight path between these two airports. This gave him the idea to launch a via flight between these two destinations using Moscow as a quick stop.

When deciding on which of the four Moscow airports to use (all are our hubs) his choice finally landed on Moscow Zhukovsky (ZIA) which is the hub of Moscovia with no real FlyRuss presence. He based this choice in that DME and SVO already have a lot of Hong Kong flights and that ZIA will be the quickest airport to turn around at. And then it was decided.

The aircraft chosen to operate this unusual flight is a brand new A220-100 named “Jewel of the East”. It is unusual for an A220 at FlyRuss to be named, as naming is something mostly reserved for 787s, but Jewel will be the first named A220. The plane is very premium heavy with 2 First by FlyRuss suites, 12 Business seats and 40 Economy seats. But considering the mostly premium clientele that this route caters to it was the right choice.

The route is served 6 days per week and takes slightly under 13 hours including a 30 minute stop in Moscow where crew is exchanged, aircraft fuelled and some passengers embarked and disembarked. All passengers flying all the way are free to remain onboard. All in all this route is massively more convenient for passengers as it avoids an exhausting connection and is about 20 minutes faster than connecting flights with other carriers while it saves about 1.5 hours compared to the closest First Class flights.

The success of this brand new route opens up the door to future via flights using Russian destinations. We have the tremendous advantage that Russia has an incredible relative location where it is overflown by most flight paths between the Europe and the Far West. We are also lucky that South Korea, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan completely lack domestic carriers and that Europe is so consolidated that very few European destinations have carriers with traffic rights. Only Romania, Spain, Portugal, France, Slovakia, Germany and Denmark have carriers which are able to fly outside of Europe. This leaves major cities in need of connections to reach the far east. This is the market that we aim to exploit. Both by having connections through our hubs and by serving these unserved routes using via flights.

FlyRuss celebrates the launch of a brand new Beijing base! Ahead of the Beijing Olympics, FlyRuss has launched a base at the city’s Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) with 20 non stop destinations across Russia as well as connecting flights to Minsk in Belarus. Our aim is to be expand our presence as the largest European carrier in Beijing as well as in all of China. It is all part of our CEO’s belt and road strategy, a strategy with the goal to rightfully establish FlyRuss as the ultimate connecting carrier between Europe and Asia. This will be achieved by leveraging out strong footprint in both markets and our relative geographic position.

The Beijing base will be our largest Chinese base with 10 aircraft based there and over 600 crew and about 20 aircraft from other bases visiting the PEK daily. This allows us to operate 310 weekly departures from Beijing and funnelling 50 thousand airports through the airport on any given week. The PEK base also works as our main Chinese office. Meaning that we station standby crews for all of China and most of East Asia at Beijing. This is a strategy of FlyRuss to reduce the number of standby crews by always stationing a standby crew for all of Asia in Beijing and deadheading them to where they are needed using our partner Royal China. This greatly saves on the number of standby crews and flight delays.

The CEO said in a statement “FlyRuss welcomes Beijing to our ever growing network of bases. It will be our 3rd base outside of Russia after Minsk and Tashkent. Beijing will also be our third largest presences outside of Russia. As a base it is run by FlyRuss in partnership with Royal China, similarly to Tashkent which is in partnership with Air Tashkent. It is a pleasure for us to be calling this incredible city home!”. The opening of the base follows FlyRuss’s announcement as the airline partner of the Russian Olympic Team, something we are very proud off. Accompanying this new sponsorship announcement we have announce a new logo, a logo to promote the Russian flag, solidifying our position as the Russian flag carrier.

After much neglect from FlyRuss, the Novosibirsk (OVB) base has finally gotten some love. It all started with the CEO running out of A220-100 aircraft when dictating the new schedules. As we already have a full backlog of the A220s, Airbus does not want to deliver us any more until March. Therefore the CEO had to search around all bases for A220s which could be moved. First coming around Moscow Domodedovo where he was able to take almost 20 planes and replace them with bigger A320s. Then he came to Novosibirsk where he also was able to take out about 10 planes which all were replaces with smaller CRJs.

Upon seeing this he realised that the Novosibirsk base which long has been neglected by FlyRuss could be enhanced using the CRJ. The CRJ is a new asset for FlyRuss and when we created the base we did not have any aircraft that size. Therefore, Novosibirsk has always operated with overcapacity and loads have been bad compared to other bases. With the CRJ we can profitably operate at OVB. We therefore added 20 new routes and about 50 daily departures. While the seat capacity on most routes has been downsized we have overall expanded the base by 20% in seats offered.

At Novosibirsk, we now offer over 1100 weekly departures to 60 destinations using 24 A220s, 7 A320s and 19 CRJs based at the airport. Many more aircraft from other bases visit OVB daily. In total 50 aircraft are stationed at the base and it is our 9th largest hub in terms of passengers. While the Novosibirsk base is small it is a vital part of our network, it connects Siberia and serves an important role on the Asia to Europe route.

With this latest expansion we operate over 28000 flights weekly on 700 routes to 320 destinations. We are the only airline in the world with hubs on multiple continents.

We are sorry for the recent demise of Jaffa Airlines. FlyRuss has since initiated a coordinated effort to cover the void left behind. This effort is both directed at covering the capacity left behind between Israel and the world and also ensure employment for the thousands of aviation professionals left behind around the world.

To cover capacity we have massively increased flights between Russia and Israel. We have acquired 3 former Jaffa Airlines 787-10s which fly between Domodedovo and Tel Aviv and Eilat. Currently, we offer 5 daily 787-10 flights to Tel Aviv and 2 to Eilat with possible increases in the future. Furthermore, we have added many flights from Israel to other Russian destinations. All aircraft acquired by FlyRuss second hand will always be completely stripped down and inspected before entering service. The entire cabin will be replaced with the signature FlyRuss interior. There is no way differentiating second hand FlyRuss planes from factory delivered ones.

In order to crew these flights we have offered to employ hundreds of former Jaffa employees. About 200 will work at our new Israel office. More emplyees will work on our terminals in the country and all others have been offered employment in Russia, primarily at our black sea bases.

Our competitor, Eastern Explorer Airlines, have declared bankruptcy after a longer time of financial struggles. According to the our CEO it was eventually expected but he was surprised how Eastern Explorer Airlines lasted so long. What EEA did which is different from our other competitors who folded earlier was offering a more premium service than FlyRuss at usually lower prices. This meant that we competed on equal terms for direct passengers but due to FlyRuss’s superior network we were able to attract most connecting passengers. As FlyRuss has always been financially strong we have been able to flood the direct passenger market and consciously offer great overcapacity. This overcapacity lead to us diluting Eastern Explorer’s loads while also sacrificing our own loads. The losses taken on FlyRuss’s side were compensated from our financially strong operations where we operated without competition.

We are sorry for the staff of Eastern Explorer Airlines that it had to end this way and have offered to employ all non-management level personell after a shorter re-education. We are tremendously proud of our own early employees who choose to work for FlyRuss in the early days. Those early employees made the right choice. Out of the many Russian airlines only one still stands, FlyRuss. These early employees risked lots to work for FlyRuss but they saw that a company which is as value driven as FlyRuss will ultimately succeed. At FlyRuss we always promote internally. Thereby, an employee joining us now from Eastern Explorer will have a harder time rising through the ranks than somebody joining us in the early days.

Recruitment was more difficult in the early days. Nowadays, FlyRuss is considered one of the prime employers in the world. Every day we receive thousands of applications for all roles and especially for flight attendants. Through our company culture of complete staff support we have overall been ranked the most popular airline to work for. We do flight attendant castings throughout the world and employ a truly global work force.

FlyRuss was already offering massive overcapacity at the time of the demise of Eastern Explorer Airlines. Therefore, we do not believe there to be any problems for stranded passengers. We have offered all passengers with a Eastern Explorer ticket a ticket on FlyRuss to help anyone in need.

Eastern Explorer Airlines was always a mark of quality. To honour this legacy our direct service between the far east and Europe will be renamed Eastern Explorer.

FlyRuss condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine! As the flag carrier and one of the largest representatives of Russia on the global stage we fully condemn this invasion. FlyRuss is probably a larger representative of Russia than the country’s embassies. Every single day our aircraft put the Russian flag on all continents, we brings millions to Russia and thousands of air traffic controllers will utter our callsign “RUSSIA”.

The CEO is a strong opponent of war due to it’s general futility. This war with Ukraine is pointless and utterly stupid. Russia and Ukraine have had a positive working relationship as can be exemplified by FlyRuss’s relationship with Ukrainian. We have both been each others biggest partner and have together facilitated over 100,000 connections everyday. The fact that lives are lost for something as useless as war is awful.

FlyRuss will keep flying all our routes to Ukraine until authorities advise us otherwise. For the time being we will ban all military and government personell from using FlyRuss’s services and we will solely cater to civilians. This also means that we will no longer fly any government cargo. FlyRuss has a commitment to the Russian people to offer them the best in air service, this commitment we will always honour.

Furthermore, FlyRuss will spend one billion dollars to facilitate one of the largest relief efforts in history. We hope to set up field hospitals all over the area to treat those injured. We will help refugees to leave the conflict using FlyRuss evacuation flights and to settle in new places. All FlyRuss staff involved in this operation have themselves volunteered to the mission, knowing fully well the risks involved in flying through war zones. We have made all our money from these people paying us and now it’s time for us to pay back when they are in need.

Mate, I understand you’re roleplaying and that’s great everyone should become immersed in the thing that they love but please don’t lie and say you’re setting up field hospitals and stuff as that is very disrespectful to the brave people who have volunteered to help the poor people of Ukraine. That being said love the airline huge respect bro

With one week since the demise of Eastern Explorer Airlines (EEA) the Russian market has settled fairly well. EEA only transported 4% of the passengers FlyRuss transported. In order to lower EEA’s loads, FlyRuss always offered overcapacity at Moscow Domodedovo. Now that overcapacity is used to accommodate the extra passengers. We have also added flights from Yekaterinburg, Moscow Vnukovo and Novosibirsk in order to encourage domestic connections to use those hubs instead and leave DME to be an international hub. Moscovia has also expanded to transport some of the Eastern Explorer passengers.

In the future Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Saint Petersburg are planned as primary international hubs while Krasnodar (primary Middle Eastern and African hub) and Khabarovsk (primary Japanese and Korean hub) will serve as niche international hubs. Moscow Vnukovo and Zhukovsky together with Yekaterinburg will be our primary domestic hubs.

Please refrain from such accusations without having full information. Just because someone used the forums for the first time does not mean their account is equally young. I also don’t see how the post you are referring to could be seen as “trolling”, as it merely states an opinion and does so in a polite fashion. Something that can’t be said about your response, btw.

That said, let’s end this discussion and the thread return to role-playing.

FlyRuss has had a week of expansion on multiple fronts. Khabarovsk has gotten many more Japanese destinations and many already existing Japanese routes have been upgraded to CRJ1000s or A220s. This is in line with FlyRuss’s goal of becoming the largest European airline in Japan and all of Asia. Our goal is to connect all airports in Japan to Khabarovsk and from there to Europe. This is all part of FlyRuss’s overall goal of being the primary Asia to Europe carrier.

Moscow Domodedovo has also seen a general increase in flights to Europe. More frequencies have been added and many are using 787s. We have also been able to get a clear picture of where more capacity is needed following the bankruptcy of Eastern Explorer Airlines. Our conclusion is that Domodedovo does not need anymore domestic capacity as it seems like Eastern Explorer was mostly flying empty. On the international part we have multiple destinations where we can greatly expand too. During the last week we have picked up 95% of all previous passengers of Eastern Explorer Airlines, thereby increasing our load factor by 3%.

Moldova has recently received it’s only wide body service using a FlyRuss 787-8 named “Empress of Sian” which flies daily from Moscow to Chisinau. This 787 is primarily long haul configured and features the long haul Business Class seat as an added bonus. This flight was squeezed in between the aircrafts daily flights to Xi’an.

Belarus Airlines has recently signed another agreement to expand it’s contract flying for FlyRuss. FlyRuss aims to connect every single Russian airport regardless of size and location. Belarus Airlines has so far provided flights to Russian airports with short runways from Moscow and Khabarovsk using a fleet of Dash-8 propeller aircraft. This has generally been unprofitable but due to the fact that most of these passengers are connecting it has been able to somewhat break even. In the revised agreements Belarus Airlines will cut most frequency to only serve these airports 1x daily. Using 5 new ERJ135s and 3 ERJ140s Belarus Airlines will add a further 20 new Russian destinations primarily in the northern far east from Khabarovsk and Novosibirsk. For many of these communities Belarus Airlines provides a vital life line and one of their only ways to physically connect with the outside world.

FlyRuss is firmly anti unions but there has recently been certain discussion regarding FlyRuss’s increased outsourcing to a foreign carrier such as Belarus Airlines. While most employees of Belarus Airlines are Belarussians they do an incredible job doing some of the hardest flying across all our network. Employees at Belarus Airlines are also paid the same as at any other ATON carrier. While Belarus Airlines will primarily focus on Minsk this contract flying will continue to grow to make up a sizable part of the overall carrier. This is mostly because an interlining agreement with FlyRuss is ridiculosly expensive and as Belarus Airlines already had an agreement it was also decided that Belarus Airlines will provide contract flying to FlyRuss.

Fuel prices have jumped 30% overnight. Of course it’s troubling but FlyRuss will survive. It will however bring some minor changes. Primarily, Moscovia will immediately retire all 717s and replace them with E195E2s which burn 35% less fuel while carrying more passengers. Belarus Airlines will halt all ERJ services for the time being. If a route can not profitably be operated by a CRJ700 or E170 then it will no longer be offered. We are sorry for the communities affected but without government subsidy we can no longer operate these routes on a commercial basis. FlyRuss is also investigating replacing between 10 and 20 older 787s with new ones which we have on order. Initially all ordered 787s were intended for expansion but we are currently investigating if that expansion is better carried out using more fuel efficient A321NEOs. Whatever decision is made no current 787s routes will be cut.

In total we plan to be paying more than 50 million dollars more for fuel every week. This will of course eat straight into our profits. It also means that decreasing debt will be a priority moving forward. With these fuel prices, fuel will be our largest expense, even larger than leasing costs. We have prepared for such a scenario by building the most fuel efficient fleet in the world and we will surely make it through the crisis but we are of course worried about airlines that maybe wont. The situation certainly looks bleak for some airlines who operate less fuel efficient aircraft while not achieving high loads. Change will certainly come in the global aviation scene and FlyRuss is as always well prepared to face the future and whatever challenges it might bring.

FlyRuss is ashamed of the business practices shown by P&O Ferries. While FlyRuss has no interest in ferry operations we have interests in treating employees right. We have over 100,000 employees across the group who know that they have a job where they are safe and respected everyday. We will not just one day call them to a video call and fire them all. That is a complete lack of respect to the work that these employees have put in over the years.

While FlyRuss is firmly against unions we believe that our employees have the right to be treated with respect. Slightly better conditions for our employees gives us so much in terms of increased passenger experience. That is why the ATON family has the happiest employees in the world. We understand when employees need to be let go due to redundancy but that can not be the case when new employees are directly brought in. We don’t question these agency workers and hope that they will do an incredible job but it is not right to replace ones own employees with others. Such dreadful practises hurt us all involved in this industry.

We wish that P&O Ferries will regain their integrity. If not, the ATON family will cut all ties with P&O Ferries and DP World. In the future we will no longer send our freight on their ferries or use their handling services. It is the right thing to do. FlyRuss will always be a supporter of people seeking out a career in the industry and as we have so many times supported employees who have lost their jobs we also wish these former P&O Ferries employees the best in finding new work places where they are respected for who they are.

Christian, you really make me want to make some banner graphics and do something similar to yours with my flagship project… because apparently I’m not satisfied at my ultra-detailed website
