ASTRONOMICAL EXPANSION ANNOUNCED
This week, thanks to the previously announced successful IPO. Rapidly growing Jakarta based airline Aero Garuda has acquired no less than ELEVEN more aircraft!!! We have acquired a brand new aircraft type to the fleet, started services to FOUR NEW COUNTRIES, opened TWO ADDITIONAL BASES as well as new routes to Australia and Malaysia.
FIRST WIDEBODYAIRCRAFT ACQUIRED
A significant milestone has been achieved by the airline with the acquisition of it's first widebodied aircraft - The Airbus A330-200. The aircraft is configured with 200 Economy Traveller and 36 Business Premier seats. The aircraft bosts superior range over the B757 to enable us a much broader network possibilities. The aircraft is being used on a Daily service connecting Tokyo's Haneda International airport. The route is perfectly timed to connect onto a multitude of domestic destinations as well as our new and expanded Australian services.
HUGE INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION
With FOUR more B757s and SIX MD80s joining the fleet we have started no less than NINE NEW ROUTES as well as frequency expansion on other routes. We have started new services to India, China, Macau and Thailand, Added a SECOND route to Malaysia on top of TWO NEW ROUTES to Australia.

Jakarta - Chennai NEW Four times weekly B757 service
Jakarta - Kota Kinabalu NEW Three times weekly B757 service
Jakarta - Kuala Lumpur Service increased from 2 to FOUR TIMES DAILY
Jakarta - Macau NEW Three times weekly B757 service
Jakarta - Melbourne NEW Daily service
Jakarta - Singapore Service increased from 1 to 2xDaily EQV
Jakarta - Tokyo/HND NEW Daily A330 service
Denpasar - Kula Lumpur NEW Daily M80 service
Denpasar - Singapore NEW Daily M80 service
Also services are seamlessly connected to/from our growing domestic network, aswell as on the Asia-Australia flow.
TWO NEW DOMESTIC BASES ESTABLISHED
WIth a strong focus on international expansion, we were keen not to forget our domestic networks. To be a truly Pan-Indonesian airline the airline is pleased to announce the establishment of its FOURTH AND FIFTH bases at Medan and Unjung Pandang/Makassar. Being our first bases on the respective islands of Sumatra and Sulawesi, it further strengthens the network, making it easier for customers in the regions to connect. Each base has received a single MD80 but will be joined by more aircraft further down the line.
