+++change of final flight+++

Due to several personal reasons, Swisslines and Cross Switzerland postpone their very last flight and will keep on operating scheduled flights until the 4th of August, where the final flight will take off.

Swisslines will operate its final transatlantic flight (SR2) onboard of a 747. The aircraft will take off in New York (JFK) on the 3th of August at 20:45 (local time), and arrive in Zurich at 10:06 (local time) on the 4th of August. This will also mark the last 747 flight operated by Swisslines.

The ultimate Swisslines flight will depart in Geneva at 15:20 (local time) and arrive in Zurich at 16:01 (local time). The flight will be operated onboard of the very first 737 MAX 8, which joined the Fleet in 2017, being also Aspern’s very first 737 Max Jet.

Boarding final Cross Switzerland flight - 767-400ER

Arrival in Vienna

That’s quite a lot of effort to say farewell, and I’d like to applaud you for that :slight_smile: Is there any reason why you’re shutting down?

Hey
Thank you!
It’s just that I spent over 7 years working to establish Europe’s leading company, with thousand of aircraft flying around the world. I was 14 when I founded the company and I’m 22 now.
I really enjoyed setting up all these Airlines, and of course it took a lot of time and dedication but I think it’s a good moment to close this chapter, take a few months of break and ultimately start a new one - of course meaning a new Airline on AS, but somewhere else maybe :joy:

It’s fun to manage a big Airline Group, but somehow I’d appreciate a new challenge, a brand new start with only few aircraft to begin with :slight_smile:

And avoid some mistakes maybe haha
This was actually my first try of building an Airline (without counting several companies who lasted only like a day or so)
