I have just started playing the game and I made plane schedules and applied them to a plane, I noticed that the flight plan only starts from 11th, is there a reason for that, or did I miss something. Please help.

Yes it does. And don't buy planes as long as you are a huge company. Leasing is much better.
Depends on how you activate it. If you activate directly it is 24 hours if you activate three days delayed then it starts flying in three days. Unless you are sure you will reach a desirable load factor on the flights with the first or second demand calculations directly you should activate three days delayed.
