I’ve been doing research on new airline seats, and one option I don’t see in AS is the herringbone seat. I believe these are becoming pretty popular for widebody business classes, and there’s even some recent designs for long-haul narrowbodies like the A321LR and A321XLR (the latter could be a suggestion itself once it enters service next year). I feel like making it should be rather easy, and it would open up higher density layouts.

We considered it back when we built the feature, but felt it was too complex at the time (especially in terms of rendering and edge-cases). Not ruling out we’ll revisit the topic eventually, but there are no plans at the moment.
