Hi - I've developed a successfull airline since Nov 2013 and looking to raise new funds so I can expand faster.
I made the mistake of developing my airline through my holding company, and not a subsidiary. As I cant float my holding company I cant see of any easy way to raise funds.
Is their an easy way to transfer my assets/flights etc to a subsidiary ? Of course I'd rather not have to set up my airline from scratch again.
The following is the only way that I know about and can be doable in a situation like this:
If you have available cash, invest money in subsidiary and slowly go leasing plane one by one, transferring flights (same times, seating, service, price) to subsidiary
Immediately sign an interline between the holding and the subsidiary
Activate subsidiary's schedule with 3 days delay.
If you time it right, you should do a switchover 3.5 days before the leasing for a plane on a holding expires, so after the successful 3-day activation you cancel lease on the holding's plane
Do this for each and every plane
Go on firing excess staff, but you will need to pay like 5 week's worth o salary at average country wages.
Once all flights are transferred and flying under subsidiary, fire all remaining staff, return all remaining planes, and cancel interline with the subsidiary
