How to make livery sand logos

So I want to make my own livery and logo i have tried looking at other people to do it but they are not active users anymore can any one tell me how to do this I have a feeling It will be something to do with paint and copying the blank aircraft images from the manufactures section am I right please help if you know how to do it could you deign one for me

You probably get better results using an outline template. I Googled Embraer+ERJ+175+template  and came up with this - http://www.freewebs.com/sla31/apps/photos/photo?photoid=21366671.

 You'll need a photo editing program like Photoshop. I use Gimp on Linux, which is very similar to Photoshop. You build up layers of colours and shapes, then export the result to a JPG file.   You can get some fancy effects like burnished metal and reflections, but essentially first you have to manage the learning curve how to use Photoshop or whatever. There are lots of tutorials on the internet for this kind of work.
