Currently now Im enjoying the fifa world cup. And by that time, I accidentally get the idea of increasing passenger demand to those city that hold the special world’s event such a world cup. Just suggestion to AS to add temporary high demand to those city that hold the event. For example, brazil is currently running world cup. So AS basically increase the demand of passenger to those airports. Any possible way? Let’s discuss
In my opinion this is more an issue for a charter market, which will come some day. But there is still a big problem: data, data and again data ;)
"Having some additional demand to a soccer world championship" is a simply thing to say. But how many on which routes. And what about other events? I remember some years ago a medical doctors meeting in Barcelona. There were some few days were widebodies from all over Europe came to Barcelona only for a weekend-event. So where is the limit between events to be simulated in AirlineSim or not.
This is completely just off the top of my head, and I have no idea if this is even feasible...
An option might be (when charter is available), that AS (meaning the system, not the mods) creates a rotating schedule of random month-long events that gets announced several months in advance. So, for instance, it would come out and say "Worldwide Cardiologist Symposium in Barcelona in October, 2014". The demand would increase a bit for that airport, to and from, for October, 2014, and then go back to "normal" in November.
It looks, to me, like it might be a headache to implement, but I'm just throwing out an idea that might keep the workload off you guys.
Well - first there are other things, then there may be will charter and afterwards we can think on something like this ;)
How about a board on the server log-in that announces randomly generated extra demand routes that you can book? Spread it around the world and let people have some fun?
