All I can say, 321 neo LR will be Max 9 killer. Max 9 HGW still has edge on long routes over 321 neo heavy in range.
737-9 is better than A321neo heavy on routes > 4500km
737-9 HGW is better than A320 neo light on routes > 5500km
Two notes:
1. 737 can take full cargo up to their maximum range while airbus takes less cargo when reaching range limit
2. Dynamic turnaround times for 737 are around 20 minutes longer than Airbus, so on new worlds, 737 is only useful when there is time to spare.
I prefer A321NEO as it allows more seats than 739Max. On other hand 738 allows more seats than A320. Once 737-10 arrives may be A321 will lose its edge over 737s.
I don’t think so. Max 10 will have about the same capacity as 321 neo, but less range than Max 9. With 321 neo LR, Airbus will have aircraft with same capacity as Max 10 and same or longer range as Max 9.
