Is the Boeing 777-300ER profitable?

Is the Boeing 777-300ER profitable in Airlinesim?

If you check the evaluation, it's by far the most loss making plane there is on Airlinesim. But is it realy that way?

Hopefully someone can clear it up for me.

Thank u !

Hi

This depends on the seat config. and on the leasing rate. When you compare 100% leasing rate to eg 787, the 777 im more expensive. I was able to rent almost new 777 for 30% less and then it looks diffrent.

Cheers

I currently lease a fleet of 7 77Ws and they are the second most profitable aircraft in the fleet.  I am considering replacing the 787s with the 77W.

how you got the 30% discount?

If a plane doesn't find a lessee on the used market, the price slowly goes down... and most of the time, planes on the used market are cheaper anyway.

I only buy used!

There is a mathematical formula which can analyze whether UM plane is a good or bad (overpriced) deal for its age. Quite easy to figure it out if you know that aircraft depreciates by 0.08% a week and that the lease rate is 5% of the book value.

...and that the lease rate is 5% of the book value.

0.5% ;)

Since all the used 777's are now gone from Pearls, I calculated it to be *more* profitable than 787-9 carrying the same number of pax and cargo until about $50-60 Jet Fuel Prices for me...that means gravy for extra pax or higher break even if I manage (and do) fill routes like DME-SIN and DME-HKG.

Excel is fun!
