I am just wondering how can we identify maintenance categories for B767-400ER, B777 and B787? I saw the type in aircraft's detail pages have different answers: in B777/764ER's pages they said B777 / B767-400 / B787, but for 787 it's only B787. May I know which one should I trust?
If you look at the aircraft details the maintanance Catergory is mentioned ..... B764 is Category7 ..... B777 Family is Catergory8 and B787 is Category84. The Numbers are random but all three have different Caterories meaning you will spend one Maintanance Category for the B767 Family, one for the B777 and another one for the 787.
@type45 you are obviously referring to the "Type rating" which applies to pilots, not maintenance. Of course this is still wrong: the 777 Family and the 767-400 share a common type rating (not the 787) but the name was changed to "B777 / B767-400 / B787". Looks like another one of those badly tested last minute changes, i. e. at one point it was planned to have a common type rating but then the Dreamliner got a separate one and they forgot to change the name back.
Thank you for pointing out that......I know the story of 764ER and 777 so I go and have a look to see any thing special would be modeled, but looks like nothing at all.
