I have a quick question. It probably already has been discussed on here but my search lead to nothing. Is it possible to move an entire flight plan from one Aircraft to another? Meaning…including already booked flights? If that’s possible i haven’t found out how.
One way of doing it is that you go the fleet details… choose the aircraft from which you like to transfer the flight to another aircraft. then click blue i Button then a new window will come up … there click on the planning tab … choose the aircraft you like to transfer that flight to … mark each day to get the green thick mark and safe it. now go back and do it until every flight from your flightplan is transfered. But you need to have a few considerations to that… first is that different aircraft have different speeds so when you like to transfer a flight from a Dash to a 737 or vice versa the flighttime might change especially on longer sectors quite dramatically. And you have to look carefully about your maintanance level. The more Flights you do per day the more Maintanance time the aircraft need. I guess thats one of the reasons why there is not an copy paste way of transfering a shedule because you can run into multiple problems.
I wish Wiki would cover subjects like this so all of us would not have to spend time trying to find answers in the forums to basic things that really should have been in the Wiki from the start. Thanks.
it’s kinda self-explanatory, isn’t it? the aircraft performance is the problem
when you go to the a/c page, click on performance check tools, you’ll see that the T154M requires a take run of 2500-2600m. bremen doesn’t have such a long rwy, not sure if budapest does
For example is I start a Airplane from Budapest to Dusseldorf, the way back also must be set, or it’s kinda self-explanatory that the airplane comming back with passangers to Budapest?
Go to Fleet->choose an aircraft from that you like to change the flightplan… go to the right side … there you have Aircraft contract details and then the green Flightplanning button … click on it …
there youwill see your full flightplan. Each flight has 3 buttons in it … click on the blue with a white i inside. you will see a register with the Flight number… just one row below should be another register where it says booked flights and in the same line there are 3 more registers in grey writing … one says Scheduling … sorry i am playing it in german and translated it only withut looking to the english version … click on scheduling and then proceed flightnumber by flightnumber …
you have to do it flight by flight. Another danger to look out for is when you transfer a flight that is within the next 3 days. This can be confusing because of the exact timing of when your new plane enters the booking schedules - it’s very easy to end up with your old Plane A flying from Airport A to B, but the return flight is with your new plane B. Which is only a problem if you haven’t kept an eye out for it and transfered the plane to the Airport B so it is ready.
It is much better to make the transfer in two parts. In the first part only transfer future flights which are 4 & 5 & 6 & 7 days away, and then when you’ve reached day 4, go back and transfer days 1 & 2 & 3.
I agree it should be possible to transfer a whole flight schedule and instantly - if I’ve decided I have a bigger plane and want to increase capacity I should be able to decide that a different plane can operate a schedule. It makes no difference to the passengers already booked on that flight - they just turn up to the airport and find a bigger plane waiting for them.
If the plane is slower then the new schedule won’t fit and the system should simply reject the schedule change-over, but letting us move whole schedules would make it a lot simpler to use a smaller plane to test out a schedule then upgrade the plane if it is popular.
There should be a system to change all the flight plans to another aircraft. This is to help bigger airlines to make use of the bulk purchase discount so that they can replace all their old aircraft rental which is higher.
It is also useful for fleet renewal program if the airline wants to maintain a young fleet. This is to encourage older airline player to continue playing

This works great as long as you have a nice flight schedule with multiple flight departing/arriving at the same time. Once it comes to the point where you have different slots every day due to lag of slots it gets cumbersome and it takes a long time to just move over one flight plan. That is the reason why I don't replace my planes since it takes too much time.
If the plane performance does not match the old schedule it would not work for any flight in your schedule so this is easy to catch I guess. I just want to transfer schedules in the same plane category to a bigger or smaller aircraft .... Please AS do something about this :)
