I decided to change my routes today so I can gain as much money as possible.
I then realised when I put it into action (activated it) I realised some would lap the old ones.
To remove the old flights do I have to delete the flight numbers or will they disappear when the week ends?

if old and new flights overlap, cancel the old flights. You will have to pay a compensation to the passengers who already booked a ticket though.
You can delete flight numbers if no flight uses that number, and if no flight with that number is still visible on the flight list. Old flights disappear from the flight list after 48 hours. So two days after the last flight has used that flight number, you can delete the flight number.
