No. 7 Different salaries by regions

  1. Different salaries by regions: Actually the demand of air transport is affected by people’s income in the region. Higher personal income usually leads to higher demand, and the demand is recorded in our dataset. However, in game, the base salary of employees are same across countries, while airlines in high-income regions should pay higher salaries to their employees. This could be another measure to slow down the growth of some giant airlines.

Or it could mean that airlines in low-income countries build up massive long-distance hubs in said countries that siphon passengers from the high-cost countries. Which is exactly what many of the middle-east carriers do…so it wouldn’t be unrealistic, that’s for sure. I could see this as a configuration option on a per-game world basis.
