Im pretty new to all this and have started an airline in the Azores. 

I decided to get a fleet of CRJ900 for my flights to Portugal and back and to look at further european destinations and I used the aircraft evaluation to get the best all round profit. However adding up some of my routes i dont think its possible to make any money with these aircraft.

I leased my CRJ's for 145,000 per week

My flights to Lisbon at 100% (according to the aircraft evaluator) would get 3,300 profit 

I can do 6 flights per day and lets say i get 100% every flight.

Thats 3,300 x 6 = 19800 per day

19800 x 7 for the weekly profit = 138,000 but my lease is 145k a week? 

Have i just made a massive error getting the CRJs and should have gone for 737s or A320s or.....am i missing something here?

AET only takes into account one class analysis. You are forgetting business class ... which is the one where you make money (like the airlines in real life). You get 3x the revenue for the business class seat.

AET also takes into account leasing cost. So that is 138000 profit on top of the 145000 lease
