Older game worlds.

Personally, I think it would be fun to have certain game worlds that are set in different time periods.

I.E. have one set in 1970 in which 747s are brand new and old piston engined airliners are still available,

Or, even have one set in the future with Superjumbo Jets that are only in development now.

I think it would be really fun to be able to make good money mostly off Boeing 707s and DC-8s, as they are some of my favorite planes.

Currently, progress is slow though as we're just starting to actually dive into data research (which is a humongous task).

Thanks! That would be awesome. It would be even better if, as it cites 1983 as a year there, you could also have, say, 1975, or, even, 1950-1955?

We take it step by step. Researching all data required for an 80s game world is enough work for months to come. Once that's done we might "move further back in time".

Okey dokey.

You'd have to consider the world political map was different as well. The EU was much smaller, Germany was a divided country, the Soviet Union was one big country, and so on. Oh, and only national flag carriers were allowed, but that would limit the game rather severely.. ;)

No, I think this is great. In Tempelhof, only France, Austria and Germany has real flag carriers in Europe. Everybody puts a ton of smaller aircrafts and becomes a low cost carrier flying within EU only.

I think there should be some limitations to European carriers. You should choose between being a flag carrier or low cost carrier. If you choose low cost, you can’t travel outside EU. If you choose flag carrier, you can only fly between your country and any place in the world (full rights with via flights within EU). Subsidiaries could be founded to permit exploring the two possibilities, but always doing that with separate airlines.
