Open letter to UAB due to cheating

Hi,

I just sent this open letter to four User Advisory Board members. Only to four, because "The member CBE cannot receive any new messages" :-)

"Hi,

I write to you, as to others four User Advisory Board members.

I guess it is time to solve these companies at Quimby and solve them ASAP:

XXX

XXX

This fast grow is clearly impossible without cheating.

I wil post this message as open letter in General Forum.

Thank you, Becher"

If you want to know more, check my post I put yesterday to Quimby V thread. http://community.airlinesim.aero/topic/10826-how-is-it-possible/

I am sorry I had a full inbox. Resend me those names now please and I will have a look at them even though it is not my job to bring up issues to the UAB and none of the other members either. It is Spezialist.

The way to do it is to report the airlines in question via the report button.

That button is useless

It is not - it is the only way to report airlines if suspected.

He is right for once, I should know

somebody does something you don't understand?

let's burn 'em witches....

He is right for once, I should know

what do you mean "for once"?

Well, it's not the only way - you can also send an email to support (support@airlinesim.aero).  "Reporting" via the forums has no tangible effect, other than the condescension from other players who really don't care about the drama on a temporary server.

Please remember that you can always report airlines by sending an e-mail to support. If an airline is already reported, this is the way to make sure that your reason can be investigated (the airline might have been reported for a different reason, e. g. naming rules).

There's no need to blame the UAB here. They can only act after support has provided them with the necessary data.

Sadly, due to a support member being sick for most of the time this January, there is currently a backlog of reported cases that haven't been handled yet. I've seen that (judging by the number of reports) there seems to be a new wave of cheating on Quimby after we had deleted several airlines in the first wave. So you can probably expect seeing more deletions happen next week when we get to the bottom of these cases.

The way to do it is to report the airlines in question via the report button.

So is this your official statement as you are the UAB member?

Yes, the airline is reported, as is mentioned in Quimby V thread. But I agree, that this is something very weird and it is good to be discussed on public.

I counted, that the XXX company paid 314.000.000 AS$ for security deposits during three weeks. It is ridiculous. For example, companies which started in very beginning (like BA and SA) spent only circa 225.000.000 AS$

have you read Spezialist's comment? I am sure that AS Support is taking care here. And once again - UAB cannot act before AS Support brings cases to our attention. If I would now say anything (and no, I cannot give an official statement as an UAB member - we are more then one member) about the case now, it would be wrong as I don't have the facts available which only AS Support can have (log files etc.).

I didn't tell it's someone's job or something like that. I do not blame anybody. I just want to keep all eyes open - as much as possible. It seems that it's a way how to hack this sim...

I used word "cheating" as subject of this topic, but I think it's more serious.

AS Team will take care. Send your reports and facts to them please. Just wanted to make sure that UAB cannot act before AS is investigating.

Deleted. Read my next comment on the topic.

@CBE I thought you’re a somewhat experienced player. It doesn’t take any insider information to see something is very fishy here. There’s nothing to applause here.

With to date less than 150,000 pax transported it is simply impossible to get such a fleet. And having a daughter company with a terminal of 100,000 Pax?

I’m sure though, support will solve that issue.

@Matth Long haul is pretty profitable even without the latest pricing model. I think this guy has greatly played with loans. Though that terminal (which I didn't know about) just makes it too much. That Airline is pretty miraculous but "maybe" possible but with that terminal it too much to belive. But what led my judgement was that I cant figure out where he is cheating thereby presuming that he is not cheating. From what I know and looking through the UAB logs there has never been a case of a player just getting money since the start of the UAB forum and that is almost 6 years ago. The probability of someone inventing a hack or finding a bug now is very low especially as finances, loans or stock market have not been updated lately. Unless this guy is actually hacking the game (which I doubt is possible) there is just no way. My judgement was based on the exclusion method.

have you read Spezialist's comment?

Right now.... he wrote his contribution at the same time as I did ;)

Based on inferences as to which company you have mentioned, I suspect that he is using AN-38-100 aircrafts to sell on the public market at inflated prices to accounts which subsequently delete -- if I get proof I'll send it.

I know it is no proof, BUT you are right:

The companies which had bought aircraft from him and then they ceased operation, are "miraculously " alive again ... and again. Look at News center at Quimby and use "Company relaunch" option only. You will see, how many times they restarted operations... countless!

(This BKL Airlines I made just to check some random planes on the market. And I found what I was looking for. But someone else must act now)
