Hi everyone,
I've been trying to make my payment for more than a week now but I keep getting payment card error.
Is there any known issues, especially from payments originating from Greece?

Costas

As far as I know, capital controls in Greece are reduced but still in effect. I don't know any details though. If you're trying to pay using a credit card and the transactions don't go through, there isn't much we can do or tell you. The best course of action would probably be to call your issuing bank and ask them what's wrong.
And if credit cards continue to fail for you, maybe you need to try another payment method. Note though that paysafecard does not work in Greece right now either. It's an overall ugly situation.

Hi Martin, thank you for your reply.
I checked with my bank and it is indeed the Capital Controls that are causing the problem. However, I should be OK via PayPal.
I tried it just now and I got the following message:
Any idea if this is again connected to the capital controls or is it something different?

Do you have money on your Paypal account? If not, then Paypal will probably try to take money from your credit card, so you're back to the same problem.

Yes, I would assume something along these lines as well.

Damn the capital controls!!!
Cant top-up my PayPal account either! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....
All I need is to make a payment for 3,60..... It's not me that took all the money out of Greece people!!!!!!!! :)
Possible that some other player donates some credits for cscostas?
Other Greek players have used Bitcoin successfully and one has even sent cash :). In the beginning of the crisis we used to hand out free credits to those affected, assuming the situation would pass quickly. But we can't continue doing this for obvious reasons :(.

How and where would someone send cash to????
I would support cscostas by giving him coins from me or buy new ones for 3,60€ - how can we handle this?
I think you could send cash to simulogic’s postal address inside a letter envelope … may take a few days though for The Letter to get to Germany … you might want to send more, so you do not have to mail it every few weeks.
However, there’s always a danger when sending cash through the mail that it won’t arrive. Tracking is essential, but even more important is making sure you’ve remembered to include your account name or enough information so the Simulogics team can apply the payment to the right account.

I have been receiving hundreds of letters and I have never had the problem of one being lost. Here with the swedish post (Now called postnord), DHL and UPS are the ones I have never had any kind of problem with. Though in Sweden we mainly use the post as it is a tradition from generation to generation with the post and we are quite conservative sometimes here in Sweden.
Thank you all very much for the support and the ideas.
I'll have a talk with my bank later tonight, and depending on the options they give me I'll tell you on Monday what kind of action I'll take...
Thank you all very much again.

If anyone plans to send us cash, please get in contact with our support first.

If you bank permits a regular IBAN wire transfer up to a certain amount, then you should be able to use the "Prepayment" option.

There are so many things that Europeans just do better. Meanwhile, on this side of the Atlantic, Canada Post only seems to deliver unaddressed advertisements to my mailbox reliably, as well as the “sorry you weren’t home when we tried to deliver a parcel, so you’ll have to pick it up at a post office sometime tomorrow” cards, that the letter carrier drops in the mailbox as they wave to me through the window.

I think your post services are second best... Nothing's better than Hellenic Post Services.... 4 yrs ago I posted 10s of wedding invitations from Athens to... Athens again! Some were delivered 2 weeks later....! I think if I had posted one to Canada it would have arrived a lot earlier...
To top it up I had posted all of them as "express delivery"!
I'm in the happy position to mention that my payment was sorted out!!!!
I'm back in business again...
...thank you all for you advice and help!
Costas
Ok, great :)
