Is it possible to create a private server that only me and a few other people can join? If it is, how can I do it?

Maybe you should contact Simulogics directly or support@airlinesim.aero as this is purely something to do whit martin or SK and nothing to do whit anybody on the forums. I do not know that there has been a private AS server before for players (I am sure there has been for testing). I gues you have to prepare yourself that it will cost which I know from experience after co-owning a very large mincraft and gaming community whit over 6 large servers and it does cost quite alot especially as we only survived by donations and all work I did and the rest of the great staff did was not paid at all and they did not get any benefit. The community (servers, forums, webisite) is still up even if I decided to complealy leave everything that has to do whit minecraft.

That's a bummer :( Would it cost that much even if it was just a few players? Something like 5 - 15 players. Really loving this game, but it's hard to play with friends because every server is pretty much full or all the countries are taken.

Look at a post rubiohiguey2000 made a year ago or so where the stated very many open oportunities. If you want I could find you 15 open airports whit 6 bars or more on the same server.

Okay, let's say 5 airports on Gatow.

Well, you just have to look around... sure, it takes time - but you'll find a place.

Quick look USA on Gatow: MKE, CLE, RDU, BNA, AUS, SAT - probably more. AUH also looks good.

I think there are atleast 6 7 bar airports in the list.

I am sure there are more then double this left but I do not have time to look more and I have not played on Gatow since a year.

You do it by just going through country by country looking takes some time.

Always check Antalya lima caracas santiago de Chile … not Many players chose those cities.

Why you want a private server, just wait until new server open. In the meantime you can try familiarize yourself with the game using available servers, so later when new server come online, you are geared up for the competition.

Also I think Ellinikon is quite empty now, with so many airlines leaving for more challenging Riem. If you start in older servers, you might be able to find some empty domestic market to grow your airline. But later when you start to fly internationally, it could be quite a challenge to make a matching departure/arrival wave at your hub as the slots in big international cities are saturated with long time resident players.
