So, I used to play openttd for a while. When you play single player you can build a huge imperium in a long long long time. It would sometimes take days to build up a really nice network. But, when you went online you also had these 3-4 hour games with a random goal. You needed to grow the city you owned, or you needed to be the first one with 20 trains, or with a good return on investment or have a certain amount of cash to win.
What I would like to see is a quick-game world with a certain scenario. Like, the first one to have 50 mil in airplanes wins. Or the first one wth a 70% return on investment in a certain week wins. Or a game where you start with a certain amount of planes and have to make the best out of it, micro manage your network and flight numbers, after 4 weeks the person with the most cash wins. The community could vote what kind of goals the next game should have, I mean you can get real creative with the goals to win a game. You’re talking here about 3-4 week scenarios we could play next to our normal game worlds.
Trick, airlinesim.aero is a long term game... the average gamespan to build a good airline may be well over 6 months or more. If you want quick scenarios you should check out airwaysim or airlinesumulation.com which run on much quicker time frame.
What I really like about airlinesim.aero is that it gives you a feeling of running a real airline...time is on real time and you do not need to rush decisions, it's more strategy simulation than click game.

I know! And as a aviation logistics student I approve of this product ;). But the quality is so high, I thought quicker games would be interesting too.
