RThe New UI is very good and especially the connection analyser however using it to optimise has shown an easy trap to fall into.
Can you confirm that if we adjust the flight time on the scheduling page that there is no way to lock the flight plan, but instead all changes take place are are NOT 3 days delayed leading to many double booked flights and lots of manual cancelations necessary. Can we have two buttons to lock flight plan then activate 3 days delayed please.
Also on the connection analyser page and the flight plan page can there be a icon to click to return the Cruise Speed to Auto without having to open the window and type A for Auto.
I tried changing the departure time at both scheduling via Fleet management as well as scheduling via Scheduling Tab and Airport pair, and there were no duplicate flights. I changed flight both before and after the curret time point (hub time).
You must have done something that made the flights duplicate such as completely reoving them from schedule and reactivating them etc. Whn I just changed departure time it did not have any duplicate effect on the flights booked.
If this happens afain, please provide this information:
what was the original flight departure and arrival time, what was the route pair, and the new arrival and departure time.
I will try to recreate the problem.
Most likely you moved the flight so far away that it crossed the actual current (hub) time flight instancing, in which cas ethis is natral, and is not a bug of NUI as it was happening in CUI as well....and it would not be considered a bug as you are crossing flight instancing at current (hub) time point.
e.g. current time 3 PM
you have flight AA10 departing at 4 PM. You move it to 2.30 PM
You also have flight AA9 ariving to hub at 2.38 PM. You move it to arrive 2.29 PM.
At 3 PM current hub time, flight AA9 would have already been instanced for arrival at 2.38 PM.
Flight AA10 will be instanced for 2.30 PM during the next time flight instancing runs, because it crosses the current (hub) time flight instancing point. It will therefore overlap with the flight that is already scheduled to fly (in flight, depart, arrive) at 2.30 PM (the one that depsrtas in 3 days).
So you will have a flight departing in 3 days
AA10 departing at 2.30 PM
AA9 arriving at 2.38 PM
there would be flight overlap.
