Hi, over the past couple of weeks several of my routes which have always been very profitable have dropped to virtually no usage and are now costing me money?
The routes have not changed, no new competitors, no price or product changes just a huge fall in demand. Is this due to the new economic model? If so how is it only a few routes are affected?
An example: Your passengers flew from A via your hub B to C. Now a new competitor flies from A via his hub D to C. He´s got better service and is cheaper. Now your routes from A to B and from B to C are not booked anymore although you have no direct competitors on this route.
Iv had this problem too with some of my once best performing routes. Can I ask where you airline is based?
I’m in MIA and some my mid west and west coast routes have noise dived. There has been no new competition on route or increase in frequency from me. I know it may be that there is more Indrect flight to final desitinons but Im still top of ORS for the routes and to my main connections in Caribbean and international. Have lowers prices massively on some routes to see what happens to demand but still very flat!
