seat configuration

hello guys,

I need some advice, which is better between improve the quality of the seat or increase seat  space?

example

I'm using A318-100 light and just for route with no more than 1500km, so I create the seat just for two class C24 (recliner short haul) and Y72 (leisure plus)

and the rating of C class is 5 green bar for seat up to 500km with seat pitch three bar, and for Y class I give 5 extra pitch, so the rating 3 bar up to 300 km and 2 bar for seat space.

so, any suggestion for that?

thank you :D

With your current setup I would tend to say it's hard to compete anyway.. regardless the seat space. Of course I don't know the server you're on and how much competition you face at your hub and on your routes. But I made the experience that if you're not the only one who offers a connection it's hard to compete when having anything less than a 4 bars rating (for the seat).

So if you do face any competitors and plan to operate your A318 on routes longer than 500km you will only catch the passengers that don't find a seat in any of the other connections.

Anyway, without having checked the ORS regarding your question, I would assume that a better seat will always be more effective than just increasing the seat space. A combination of both even more, of course.

But, with a little time and effort, you can check that pretty accurately on your own by comparing the ORS ratings of your setups. And yes, that will cost you some money. ^^

thank you for your advice, it's give me some knowledge about this game, I'm playing in idlewild, right now, I have just one competitor in Indonesia, but this holding was dominate at my origal hub, so I distribute much more connection at denpasar.

once again thank's a lot, :D

I see a very good choice of seating both for the economy and buisness. I would perssonaly use it on competitive routes or my "iLUX" routes, otherwise I would just go for leisure and recliner short haul or even just standard depends on the route and aircrarft. If I would play in Indonesia I would use baby Airbus or B737 flying between the larger cities in rotations and using LETs or Saabs maybe even ATRs on the smaller routes. What I like in Indonesia is that there are many small airports (1 bar or 2 bar) that easy can be flown whit a LET, PC-12 or Caravan. Good luck!

CBE, thank you for your advice to :D

Just go for it. Indonesia is not a hard country to start and grow.

It has a strong domestic demand (but eeerrrgghhh when it comes to international flight)

I used many Airbus A320 with Recliner Shorthaul for business and Leisure Plus for Economy.

All filled up as long as you're smart enough to find the unloaded passenger.

There were several pair of airport which always filled up with Y class no matter what your aircrafts are.

The biggest Indonesian airport, CGK, in Idlewild still has 25% slots left. It's a golden bucket.

SUB: 65% slot left.

DPS: 59% slot left

UPG: 76% slot left

KNO: 80% slot left...

Oh my God, I could just go there and make a new airline then succeed in near time. -_-

It was a good place right now.

Even SIN and KUL there still has 17% slot left. That's actually a good news.

If you allow me to give you suggestion:

1. Dont make a spiderweb route map.

2. Choose SUB right now as your MAIN HUB! before your biggest competitor sees this post and start to fill it up before you even come in. (Its 65% free slot! Come ooon... )

3. Dont fly routes between transfer impossible airport.

4. Just fly from SUB only to many destinations, and from many destinations to SUB only.

5. SUB

6. SUB

7. SUB

8. Fly to CGK several times also from SUB.

9. Dont use props when the market is actually big.
