Seats not filling

That is probably because you are flying unpopular routes, or your flight rating is poor. Go to any aircraft-flights-flight details then click on flight rating, post that image on to the forum then i can help you further

Why are my flights from Singapore to mumbai not booking the seatsare top notch and the passenger demand is high, i am flying a tupolev-204-100 ( the new one ) and only 6% have been booked.

I have also noticed my long haul fights from mumbai to europe arent booking at all why is this ?

please help as i will lose tons of money

Thanks for the help man. They seem to be popular routes and the demand at the airports is really high. I’m finding that the flights from Salt Lake CIty and Dallas Forth/Worth are getting the most bookings.

Here’s my load monitoring as well.

Thanks for the help!

Edit: I have cut my flights to Colorado Springs. I was thinking if I ever decide to get a cesna or very small aircraft I could do a trip or two a week to COS but it’s definitely not worth it for a medium sized plane to fly there with my poor numbers in bookings.

Would it be easier to join a gameworld that has less people in it? Will the demand for flights be higher if I went to a world like idlewild? Because Denver is very heavily used in this game world and I wouldn’t want to move operations out of state because it’s where I live and want to represent. Plus Denver is the 9th busiest airport in the world and I don’t understand what exactly I’m doing wrong other than there are a ton of flights moving in and out (more 3000 more weekly than idlewild). I’m not sure if that’s how bookings are calculated or not though. Anyone know?

Your current flight rating are good but they could be much better if you improve on your seats and staff mood. The reason you are not getting many passengers is probably because of your lack of connections or

interlining partners and there is a hell of a lot of competition in america and europe so if you want to consistently take passengers you either need to be a huge enterprise with an impeccible service profile and etc.

What you could do to improve your load factor is to provide flights from smaller airports to your main hubs this should increase your LF in your major flights.

Get interlining partners as this will drastically improve your connections

Try running flights in less competitive areas ( Asia or Africa )

join an alliance

BTW what server are you on

If you are on fornebu check out its forum and we could start an alliance with my other interlining partners

best of luck

ps i dont think it is a good idea for u to go to another server as there will not be much growth for a new airline like yours

Won’t us Interlining right now lose us money because we don’t have any possible connecting flights? I’d be more to happen to join if you think it would help our airlines.

Yes it would but what i meant was you could interline with other partners in your area or move to a less competitive area

Oh ok. My brother signed up for this and we have an interlining agreement. I go for the Southwest/West and he’s going for the Midwest/South so there’s one.

One more question, should I try setting up more flights that stop at more locations instead of going from Denver to a location and straight back to Denver? For example, should I go from Denver to Salt Lake City To Phoenix To Las Vegas to Los Angeles and then back to Denver? Or should I keep it where I go from Denver to Salt Lake back to Denver, then Denver to Phoenix to Denver and then Denver to Las Vegas back to Denver etc. Which one works better for you?

And thank you tons for helping me out man!

P.S. - moving to a less competitive area is something I really wouldn’t want to do, I love my Denver International Airport and the Southwest airports in general.

Normally that tactic will work if you are building up to a large flight eg Mumbai-Bengaluru-Kolkota-Delhi-Mumbai-London Heathrow or Dubai

you see

but you could experiment with 1 day of your aircrafts flight schedule

I leased one more plane and am doing that. I also upgraded my economy and business class seats and gave my personnel a raise to hopefully boost their mood. I noticed more of my flights are showing up on the Online Reservation System so I’m crossing my fingers…

A million thanks bro! Interlining has helped a lot, I also upgraded my seating configuration. Do you think increasing the price a TINY bit would hurt much? Maybe a percent or two? Not having as many seats has cut into my profit margin.

No your flights will still book, but I think you have too many buisiness class seats, you shouldn’t have more than 10 on a plane that size

Yeah I see what you mean. You can make more money with putting more economy in especially when the Business isn’t filling up. on my Dash 8’s I changed it from 14 to 8 and I added 5 more seats overall. And I changed the other planes to 10 and 15 business and added 7 and 9 extra seats overall so I will make more profit. And then I raised ticket prices 5-8% so my profit should go from an average of 2,000 to maybe 3,000 hopefully. Feels good to finally be making a little profit .

That logic doesn’t always work: If you’re facing fierce competition on the economy segment, but not on the business segment, you may have the situation that you can charge more than twice the ticket price to business class passengers that you can charge to economy passengers. In cases like that, it may be more profitable to take the extra business seats at the cost of more economy seats. So, it’s not that easy to say you need a certain percentage of your seats to be class Y, as it may vary from route to route.

That being said, I currently operate with a standard cabin configuration that has a more-or-less 4:1 Ratio between Eco and Business. I’ve also created (but so far not used) both a more dense Eco configuration and a more dense Business configuration (same seat types, so sacrificing the one for additional capacity in the other) with Ratios of about 8:1 and 2-3:1 respectively. If I find routes where one class is clearly favoured, then an aircraft with the appropriate cabin layout is used. But that’s something I haven’t gotten to yet.

Just wondering if someone can help me a little. I’m operating some Long Haul routes that until the last 2-3 weeks - were going really well. Since the last 2 weeks though, the capacity has fallen dramatically - around 40% full as opposed to 95% full previously. My interlining is still intact, no new competitors on the routes, and i’ve even lowered the price by around 15-25% but to no avail. Does AS have seasonal demand? So demands is greater during key summer and winter periods? Can anyone think of another reason why this may be the case?

Quick reply to the previous posts:

Since your’e a new airline, it should not be as time consuming to adjust route prices. I used to move mine up and down by $5 based on demand over the last few days. I used to adjust these every 3 days, and it worked really really well. I would definitely recommend this if you have enough time to spare.

With regards to seating, I use Economy and Bus Premium for all my routes. Only recently, I started Ultra Long Haul (DXB-YYZ) for which I have Eco Plus and Bus Prem only. Usually, I split the cabin 60% Economy and 40% Business. This gives me enough of a margin if Economy doesn’t fill up, or because of demand, I have to charge a lower fair.

Yes, I can…

Someone else is operating the route via another airport (perhaps FRA or LHR) and has adjusted his package (service, seats, price) to take away pax from you, or has perhaps increased its frequency on the route.

Crikey - that means I need a major overhaul. (Thanks for the info)

same problem for this
