Shamiym International Airlines to begin regional service

August 14, 2016

NEW YORK - Shamiym International Airlines, the leading international carrier in the United States, today announces the arrival of regional services to its existing network. Using a fleet of Bombadier Canadair jets, service to small and regional airports throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean is slated to commence over the coming week.

The new services will allow more travellers access to Shamiym's existing domestic and international network. The new services will be primarily be based in John F. Kennedy airport in New York, Washington-Reagan, Dallas-Fort Worth and San Francisco.

The company expects the expanded network will increase load factors and yields on existing wide-body and narrow-body routes, CEO Mr. Panache said today on a call with reporters and analysts.

"The retirement of the last Airbus A380s in the fleet has allowed us to embark on a new chapter of Shamiym's history without increasing maintenance costs," he said. "Shamiym has already reduced costs over the last financial year through the exit from the fleet of the A330 and 767 families. Through that, smarter leasing and stable labour costs, we have managed to increase our financial results even amid a very challenging economic environment."

"The A380 has been a historically integral and profitable part of our fleet, particularly out of Los Angeles, where we pioneered luxury service on routes to Australia and the Pacific. Replacing the superjumbos with Boeing 777-300ER and 787-9 aircraft will allow us to increase frequency and yields on those routes. For example, San Francisco-Sydney will now be flown double daily, in addition to the daily service from Los Angeles, meaning more convenient connections for travellers from across North America."
