Short field performance enhancement package

According to this thread http://community.airlinesim.aero/topic/5414-airbus-a320e-family/page-2

A319/320/321 with sharklets will be added in the upcoming data patch.

My question is, can AS also introduce Short Field Performance Enhancement package (SFP) on A319/E190/E195/73G/738?

I guess it would mean creating a new aircraft "type" that could be purchased/leased for a slightly increased cost (same as with winglets/sharklets) and which would have adjusted performance for takeoff/landing for short fields.

As it is possible right now to support winglets/sharklets for Airbus/Boeing planes, I do not see reason why SFP packages could not be supported as well.

Edited: For example, for Boeing planes, SFP package is not something rare/unusual and limited to one or two airline customers.

Quote: To date 11 customers have ordered the short-field performance package for more than 250 airplanes. In addition to GOL, Alaska Airlines, Air Europa, Air India, Egyptair, GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS), Hapagfly, Japan Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Sky Airlines and Turkish Airlines are among some of the operators that have ordered the design package.

(...and that was back in 2006... today the numbers go up even more)

Actually, it would be very nice if we could order several different options for the aircrafts (different engine types, high altitude airport kit, EROPS capability etc.), but I guess to include this the aircraft order page would have to be updated, to change the settings when ordering the aircraft. It would become very confusing if you had an extra aircraft type for all the options.

Yep, that's the reason why we in some cases not offer all options - only the most common ones. We had a aircraft configurator on presentation some years ago. But to have this effectively usable, we need a complete review of flight performance formula, a new structure for the database and of course a lot of data and -options.

Yes I guess it would be very difficult to implement...but would be a very nice thing to have, also for the aircraft market-so it would become a real market as every aircraft there has different options installed...well, we all can dream I guess...

then you can have Boeing's and Airbus airplanes with same engine :)
