My airline lost more than 80% of my pax after using new seats. In the past I used to have over 90% LF (more than 50% are connection traffic) and now only 10% left. Things get a bit better after I reset price to default -50% but I am still bleeding. What can I do to save my airline or I can only watch my 6 month work gone with such a stupid reason? :(
I took one of my planes and kept experimenting with different cabin configs and prices until I found some that worked ok. I think its being talked about in another thread but there are some nuggets in the new configurator. If it helps, anything I did that was like for like just hurt my ORS ratings and connection traffic.
If you know where some of your better connecting traffic comes from, then you can check the ORS to see how far behind your competitors you are.
The variable you may not be able to do so much about, is if some of your better interlining partners have had a hit too - although I guess it wouldn't hurt to try and work it out them, it would help both of you.
I'm bleeding as well... with Aguila del Paraguay on Gatow down from a mere 68% to a lousy 58%. I don't have money to change 2 or 3 times my configurations... and if this doesn't change soon, that company is going bankrupt.
Aero Nesher, down from a nice 81% to a meager 68%... my profits are gone. If I lower prices, I'll be losing money. If I use better seats, there won't be enough passengers to make any money. The exact same config works great on Aspern so... the only thing I can think of is that I'm being beaten by airlines that haven't changed to new seats yet. So it's unfair...
Just a stupid question, how can I check my flights’ ORS rating? I never find it in game I think…
On the menu bar at the top, the little globe with an 'I' next to it -- the ORS, or Online Reservation System, is the second option in that menu.
I believe you do have to be a premium member to have access to the ORS, meaning you have to have purchased credits.
I know that one, but I never get figures like you do. What I can see is green or red bars representing ratings. Is that the source of your figures?
Btw after reducing prices (standard -5%) booking improved, but I have to say it is stupid to have such things happen…
If you hover over the green or red bars in the ORS then you'll see the rating appear. I don't think this works on a touchscreen.
If things improved after a 5% reduction then that'd fit with my experience too when first changing over. You can improve your ORS rating by changing your price or your product offering, or both.
You may know it, but you can see what affect your price changes have on the "Flight Assignments" part of the Route Overview. Change the price and the number of bars will change to. You don't get a numerical rating on this screen, but with some testing you it can be worked out quite easily.
I like the fact that the new seat configuration tool increases playability, but it has had a strong effect on the old servers, many people is bleeding passengers. Is the AS Team going to give any advice how to recover from this or players have just to deal with it?
There is one thing I can tell you from the requests at the support ... if your airline is based on transfer passenger, you should have a detailed look at your ORS rating for the connections. Using small seats or bad service may give you an average rating for the direct flight, but may result into a bad rating for transfer connections and there you may loose your passenger.

Mockingbird Paraguay still has an SLF between 80-86% and 86% transfered passengers in ASU. So the patch should not be the problem. ;)

Your airline may not be affected, but my THREE airlines are. I'm giving a great on board service and using Leisure Plus on CRJs, if I changed to Comfort or Comfort Plus, it would fit many less passengers. I think Leisure Plus is a great seat for such short-haul flights as the ones I have...

Exactly, that's the problem and the reason I'm losing SLF. I was at the top or near the top on the ORS with pretty much every connecting flight and now I'm below the five first spots, all of them covered by airlines that have not switched seats. It's unfair. Either change something or force everyone to change to the new seats... I cannot change back to the old seats!
Yes that's what I said several times in various threads... force everybody to switch seats by certain date. But "sk" replied several times (which I really do not consider sufficient answer) that "because of flight attendants, etc...image ratings will go down and will in turn affect ORS rating...AFTER SOME TIME.."... but that is not sufficient, this may take weeks or months for image ratings to significantly affect ORS rating... so let's say with leisure plus and good onboard service you get to 82 ORS rating... but how long would it take for bad image rating to bring down 99 ORS rating into 82? Months...maybe even years... and in the meantime, many airlines who cannot cope against such unfair competition will suffer, and maybe even go bankrupt. Is this what we all want? I do NOT think so! We need a deadline for everybody to switch config!

I use ComfortPlus and have great profits, even in small EMB 170. If you need transfer pax, leisure plus are useless. Also a CRJ 900/700 generates great margins with comfortplus seats.

I think that is not true if you. I run an airline with standard seats / HD-Seats in "supposedly" highly competitive Europe area. My overall transfer passenger ratio is at 65% now. Average SLF above 93%. There are many ways to make this work.
I really look forward trying Leisure Plus on long haul, afterall the same principals apply.

It may work in europe, yes, but not on a small airport like ASU.

I'll see what can be done with ComfortPlus, but tried configuring a plane that way and it's only a few seats of that kind a CRJ700/900 can accomodate, resulting in loss anyway.
My SLF actually increased along with profits after I changed my seats, and I depend on transfer pax.
Well, I am “clear of conflict” now after reducing prices from +20% to -5% and give my crew an early Xmas holiday (aka cancel flight ) . But I have to say it’s unfair to let those players keep their old configuration, reason? Other players can’t use their old configuration anymore, it’s not a matter of choice but system problem from my view point.
