We, "the complainers" have explained it in numerous occasions that what we really hate is the need to click back and through between Scheduling, Inventory and Market Analysis. The RM provided a simple and easy to follow overview of our flights.
The Market Analysis page allows to view both own and competing flights and since one of the most recent updates you can also adjust your prices for the airport pair from there. What else would you need? In my eyes, this is already pretty close to the old RM, especially because even in the old RM, many functions were located on tabs, so additional clicks were required as well.
And a word about your constant threat of "lettings credits run out" and "everybody will quit playing": It's a bit early for a final assessment, but so far, both the amount of active players as well as our total revenue have increased by a nice two-digit percentage since the release of 6.2. Note that "revenue" means people are buying credits (contrary to using them up), which kind of means to me that what we did can't be all that bad.
Market Analysis does not offer scheduling information. Yes you can see the flights. But you can't see:
- scheduling & flight frequency
- number of seats/number of booked seats per flight
- that table with flights is very hard to read.
(I'm talking about own flights, i don't care that much about competition flights)
I'm sorry but that's the truth. No matter how anyone wants to paint it nice, It takes me a few minutes to analyse a busy route where before it took me seconds. You should understand that not all of us are time millionaires. If you're running an airline with more then 50 planes and you have for this at most 1-2 hours a day then you're basically screwed right now.
Regarding the so called success of the new version. People wanted to try out the new game world after launch and these are players who already are playing for a while. However for the first time after a server launch the server is not full (not talking about short lifespan servers like quimby). And i'm not even talking about newcomers. If you think this new complicated, accounting software like version will hold with newbies then i believe you're mistaken. But as i said earlier it's not my problem after all. I wish you all the success with it.
And please disregard my countdown, the so called "threat". I'm just disappointed because i really liked the old version and dislike the new one proportionally.
