Stock transaction timings

I have today lost control of an airline i was trying to transfer between Airline A and Holding A. I wanted my holding to have the airline in its possession before Airline A gets dissolved.

I put the stock buys & sells in place, and waiting the transaction to complete.

Then i get a message to say a counter bid happened. I tried to counter myself only to find the transaction to the rogue airline now complete.

My question is. Is there a specific time that stock transaction go through? Therefor if you know this you can counter a bid last minute without the other player being able to respond?

Whilst i accept its not cheating, its very very foul play if the stocks system can be manipulated in this way. Surely if someone counters a bid, i should have time to respond myself?

Very disappointed to have been gazumpt like this

Yes, every 15 Minutes.

Please have a look at "game status" (you will find the status in the bottom-line of the window more or less in the middle) and there you may have a look for the "Stock Trader".

Stock trades are executed every 15 minutes. You can check the game status (linked at the bottom of every page) to see when it happens for the next time.

You can of course try to take advantage of this yourself when you're wanting to complete an important sale. But in the end, it's a public exchange, so anybody can make a bid and possibly lead to a different sale than you would have intended.

EDIT: Looks like I'm a bit slow :D

I don't know how long it takes to finish the transaction when there isn't a counter bid, but what i do now is each time i offer a bid, i look very closely how it goes. Refresh the shock page and see whether there is a new bid. Offer a new bid if there's a new one. I really don't understand how the system determines the final bid as i had experience losing a bid while the counter bid offered a lower price.
