Sunbeam Aircorporation

*** We axed our route from Phnom Penh, Cambodia to Nadi, Fiji Islands - flight number 4U 429/430 - after its first run. We now operate under the same flight number a new route to the Auckland International Airport, New Zealand. Connections as always in Oceania with Tasman Flyer, thanks for patience. ***

Sunbeam Aircorp. orders three awesome planes

The Cambodian Sunbeam Aircorp. and Boeing signed a contract for the delivery of three new Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental. The first one will be already available at Monday, 21st May, to take over the short route to Doha which was deployed some days ago to a Boeing 787. No more information is available for now.

Inauguration of the first Airbus A380-800 on 1st June

The Airbus A380-800 was in talks for several weeks now and got finally into the fleet of the Sunbeam Aircorp. Seated with 407 “Sunbeam’s Economy” seats, 72 “Sunbeam’s World Traveler” seats and 7 “Sunbeam’s Honor” seats (in total 486 seats). The two first Airbus A380 will be deployed on the Phnom Penh-Doha runs which are also short enough to make pilot trainings in real circumstances possible. This changes will also be increase of capacity by around 33% in Economy, 20% in Business and nearly 50% in the First class. Sunbeam is the fourth airline to become an operator of the largest passenger plane. Next markets are London and Paris, with the new bookings of the new Boeing 747 flights to Los Angeles and the success of other routes changed to Boeing 747 will show new markets. We already placed five options for the Airbus A380 and have also stated in talks with Airbus SAS our interest in the Airbus A350-900 and -1000.

Awesome airline stands its promises

With totally new and - of course - awesome machinery our awesome airline will generate more connections and make the awesome network for many more people reachable - and most of all: more easily. The new type of aircraft, the Boeing 777, will be introduced as Boeing 777-200ER, Boeing 777-200LR and Boeing 777-300ER on exisiting and new routes. The Boeing 777-200ER will takeover both US-Westcoast routes to San Francisco and Los Angeles (frequence will stay untouched). Our aircraft with the now most powerfull engines - the Boeing 777-300ER - will be deployed on routes to Cairns (upgrade from 787 - 2 daily), Melbourne (+1 daily add. to 747-8I) and Perth (+1 daily add. to 787-8). This routes differentiate from eachother in distance and demand and will show how capable those new birds are. The Boeing 787-8 are about to replace some VLAs on bad-booked routes and those in return will fly to our hotspots. And to the last the Boeing 777-200LR will open two new routes on a 6 weekly base: Chicago O’Hare (ORD) [nearly 14,000km] and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) [14,600km]. We haven’t finished all plans yet, new destinations are possible tho.

Sunbeam Aircorp. will test aside a new Boeing 747-8F on routes where cargo loads are too high to be pleased by our passenger planes. Colombo, Doha etc. …

Australia - an important market

A new era in the partnership between the Australian airport authorities and the Sunbeam Aircorp. has come. A new Airbus A380-800 is about to join the fleet and will be the 9th Airbus A380 in our fleet. The leased superjumbo will come up with a Economy/Business only seating and overall 496 seats. It will replace a Boeing 747-8 on the Sydney run daily at 9:50 AM HT (4U 1323) offering more capacities for connections. The replaced Boeing 747-8 gets a new "Leisure" seating with no First class and a major decrease in Business class down to approx. 50 that it can replace a Boeing 777-300ER in Perth. Finally the Boeing 777 will increase the Cairns route.

13% slots of pure awesomeness - not more!

Phnom Penh International Airport has filled already 87% of all slots available. Sunbeam Aircorp. came close to 5,000 flights/week by now and has a nice place in the list of the 20 most awesome airlines on earth. (place 17 to be exact)

Have a little look.

A new Sunbeam Aircorporation is born. A new logo, a new statement are introduced. Still awesome but bringing a new lifestyle feeling into the business.

The CEO Christian Herver, ‘Well, we always ran another system then any other airline around but we want to separate us more from the standard airlines transferring passengers in tiny planes in which you just have to feel like a sardine in a tin. Why bother flying like cattle if you can fly like a human? That’s why our product is new. A modern fleet of the widest of the widebodies and a fast comfortable fleet of Boeing 737 which are also offering more legroom than any other competitor airplane in this size plus, they don’t fly long flights. Ok, not much new so far. But with our new branding we will introduce more room for anyone - which means more Airbus A380 - and especially improve our Business Class product with new lounges in stylish orange-dark grey design.

Officially confirmed by Airbus SAS and Sunbeam Aircorp., the companies are in negotiations for nine more Airbus A380-800 to replace Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental. C. Herver also stated the airline is interested in purchasing 120 Airbus A321 with sharklets if the aircraft offers major benefits and the contract for 200 Airbus A321 NEO will be firmed up, even tho Boeing is still in the game with the Boeing 737-9 MAX but Herver is to be quoted that he has serious doubts that the smaller Boeing 737-9 MAX can fit the expectations. Another reason is that the management want the plane as fast as possible. The Airbus A321 NEO is scheduled for Q1+Q2 2016 while the Boeing 737-9 MAX would be delivered 2 years later.

COPENHAGEN GETS A NEW GATE TO ASIA - RETURN TO STOCKHOLM

Today the CEO Herver signed a contracted with the airport authority of Copenhagen International Airport (CPH) for 3 weekly flights with a Boeing 787-8 - the plane comes from the former new daily Antalya, Turkey connection, now flown daily with an Airbus A340-300. Another highlight is the return of Sunbeam Aircorp. to the Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) with same settings - 3 weekly with Boeing 787-8. We hope of a big success for those two Scandinavian destinations.

The 16th largest airline worldwide flew far over 1.6 mil passengers, mainly through the Phnom Penh hub, in the last week. Load factor > 90,00%!

Awesome balance target reached!

Additionally we are proud to announce we have met our proposals and reached a balance of AS$ 2,000,000,000! CELEBRATION?!

Over 200 Boeing 737

With another order for 21 more Boeing 737-900ER, Sunbeam will operate more than 200 Boeing 737-900ER by end of February. The last four active Boeing 737-800 will be replaced to increase commonality and just to get rid-off the smallest frames in fleet. Most airplanes will be based in Siem Reap for another expansion. "Now we wait for a widebody matching our expectations", COO of Sunbeam.

EDIT: We are worth AS$ 3.3 billion!

More routes - more planes - less partner

Many more routes will be added to the already dense network of Sunbeam. Confirmed destinations are Christchurch (already from 17th April), Zurich, Madrid, Edinburgh, Algiers, Lagos, Durban. All will be operated by brandnew Boeing 787-8 - eight were ordered today.

Against the further expansion of the airline the cooperation with the outstanding FirstSky Alliance member nihon.jet and Montanair Austria were cancelled. The cancellation of these contracts from the other side were to be expected since other FirstSky Alliance member cancelled the partnership with us also. "And since our airline is far more competitive than any FSA airline, we're not willed to cooperate with partner supporting such behaviour", CEO Christian Herver said.

Increasing intercontinental connections in Siem Reap - new routes to Algiers and Lagos may be closed

With the last new Boeing 787-8 for Sunbeam Aircorporation the airline established the second European connection from the second hub. After the first all-new destination Zurich, Switzerland which is served since a week thrice weekly with a Boeing 787 also London Gatwick (no new city but new airport) found its way into the schedule of Siem Reap with a 6 weekly frequence performed with a Boeing 787, too. To further increase the connection capability of the small hub Brisbane and Perth getting served 4 times weekly.

The full list of intercontinental destinations is now:

 • Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) - 4/wk Boeing 787-8
 • Brisbane International Airport (BNE) - 4/wk Boeing 787-8
 • Dubai International Airport (DXB) - 2/day Boeing 777-300ER // Boeing 787-8
 • London Gatwick Airport (LGW) - 6/wk Boeing 787-8
 • Perth Airport (PER) - 4/wk Boeing 787-8
 • Sydney International Airport (SYD) - 1/day Airbus A330-300
 • Zurich Kloten Airport (ZRH) - 3/wk Boeing 787-8

Meanwhile, the routes to Lagos and Algiers running not as wished, but as expected. The airline is to be expected to leave the airports effective 1st May. Confirmed is the expansion on the new Madrid-route to 3 weekly (from 2 weekly) and a further expansion in the UAE with the increase from 4 weekly to a daily Al-Ain flight. Rumours have it a new destination in the Indian Ocean sees its first Asian connection.

After long silence ...

... and still successfull times the airline is continue growing and is very healthy because it can rely on a cash reserve of over AS$ 1,000,000,000 (about 25% of the balance) and always had positive numbers. In fact the airline is making more money than ever with about AS$ 115,000,000 profit which is quite good for an airline flying out of two very small airports in competition to other major hubs in the near distance like Bangkok , Phuket , Singapore  -_-, Kuala Lumpur , Ho Chi Minh City  ^_^, Manila  ^_^, and others. We are not anymore under the biggest airlines of the world, of course - we have not many slots anymore... but we are obviously the best airline as more than 1.7 million passengers are using our small airports as a connection point to other cities. An important part of our strategy is the big king of the skies - the Airbus A380. 40 of them are by now in the fleet (biggest operator!) and this subfleet will grow... AND we were able to make our "workhorse fleet" of Boeing 737-900ER to grow to the enormous number of 250 pieces. In total 404 planes will fly in our fleet by mid October.

We are passionly waiting for the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787-9. The Sunbeam Aircorporation signed a contract with Airbus to take over 60 Airbus A350XWB-900 in two packages (40 and 20) until 2020. With Boeing a deal was signed for 60 Boeing 787-9 which will replace the Boeing 787-8 in PNH and 20 of these small birds will be shifted to REP. All others will leave the fleet. This will be done by 2016 latest. This deal is worth AS$ 18 billion. The Airbus A380-900 is still a possible addition for the fleet.

Always have a nice flight with the Sunbeam.
