I was messing around with the aircraft comparison and noticed that there is barely a difference in revenue between the Sukhoi Superjet 100-95 and the LR variant. There is no difference in price between the two, and the LR has a longer range. Is there really any advantage in the base variant of the super jet other than a slightly shorter takeoff distance?
Run the comparison for different distances.
The non-LR has a growing fuel burn advantage the longer the distance gets, up to a point where the extra payload of the LR weighs out its fuel burn disadvantage.
Where that point is depends on your cabin config (and on the server type). On old servers with big seats I barely see a use for the LR other than maybe on the edge of its range (beyond its max fuel point)
