Team Member airlines

Hello,

I have seen quite many team member´s airlines that are very inactive. For example Northen Couloures on Stapleton, it has not signed a new IL or opened a new branch office since 2012 and the Team member´s acount managing it has not been active since April 2014. Because it is an airline of a team member it can not run out of credits and it woulb be very hard to take it down as it has been flying all this time on auto pilot.

I would suggest to contact the owners and ask them if they are playing or if they just forgot about it and it could be deleted to open up the market.

It's not just team members, how about normal members too?

It's not just team members, how about normal members too?

Normal members consume credits, so if they do not log in or do not play, the credits keep on being consumed, after they run out of credits, the airline is automatically deleted 30 days afterwards. If they recharge, it's just as if they were playing all along.

Team members, to my (and guess CBE's) knowledge, do not consume credits. So they actually never run out of credits and therefore never get automatically deleted by the system.

So there is a quite a difference between the two.

Yes I know that team mebers do not consume credits, and therefore they might forget about there airlines. For me it is perfectly fine if the team members return to ther airline and continue playing, but otherwise if they will not play why should the airline still exist?

There are normal inactive airlines but they will just last about a year and then they get deleted and is ok for me to wait but in this case I can wait many hundredths of years and noting will happened to the team member airlines.

It does not matter whether team members or not do not care about their airlines or not.

If you have a strategy running your airline whithout caring about or not, it is still in business.

So, what about?

Don’t agree! It’s not about one’s strategy, it’s about them taking market share and therefore preventing other or even new customers from operating in these regions. I can understand the general issue and have also seen such airlines.

Through different measures, AS in a way still prefers to have inactive airlines over actively run airlines, which would highly increase competition and game dynamics (to me, this is what it’s all about!?)

It's about the team member which somehow took the chance of others.

And it does matter whether it is team members or not.

If it is regular player who play and decided to block the slot and chances of others by buying 1 million credit and let the airline fly itself, then its okay, as he is supporting the game in some way (by paying the developer so we can still enjoy airlinesim). Maybe it is HIS business to do that. It's HIS intention to do neglect the airline in whatever purpose.

But the team member has different case.

There's a possibility that they forgot the airline, and maybe didn't care anymore, but stopping the chances of other to grow.

If you feel that an team member airline is not maintained anymore, there is an easy option to report it ingame. We will check this and contact the team member and maybe decide if the team status is still relevant and/or the airline may be deleted if necessary.

But isn't any airline in AirlineSim stopping the chances of another to grow? ;)

If the airline is alive, it makes sense.

I just thought that it would be pathetic if we have to fight head to head with a dead body.

Rather be dead and killed by a living human, than by a dead body.

zombie apocalypse isnt starter yet.

Dont start it in Airlinesim.

Wkwkwk... :D
