Very Strange/Suspicious

Today I have seen an Airbus 380 in the market for only 50M (purchase) and 150.000$ (leasing). (age od plane: 1 year)

I saw the bid 10 min. before ending and I inmediatly outbid it. 2 min latter I was outbided again, but when I tried to outbid it again I wasn´t able to do it because the next bid was the official biding price 1.290.000 $, so the first player get the Airbus for only 295.000$ per week (or 72M if it was purchased instead of the stock 258M).

The owner comapany of the Airbus is pretty new and it has no flights to anywhere, only 3 Airbus 380 owned.

May be possible that the same player have the 2 companys (with different nicknames) and use one to lend or sell high cost planes like the A380 to his other company at ridiculous prices?

Kasa.

Update:

When the bid was about to end (2nd time) someone outbid it again for 489K per week and if I want to outbid the plane now I have to offer now 3.225.000$ per week (3 times the official price).

Can someone explain it to me? (now 3rd time outbided 618K, and for me 4.5M per week)

Can you name the owner of the Airbus, please? It’s really strange.

No it isnt, I have an A380 which I leased out for 140k/week. I bought the plane for 15m after the new a/c market was introduced.

I am going to give the name of players or companys only to AS Team, because the action colud be legal. Only if AS team say to me that he is a cheater I will name him. But it´s very strange to lease out a A380 for only 100 or 200K when its price is well over a million (plane age 1 year).

Kasa.

I think I found it. It’s really very suspiscious.

The company has been founded Sep 1st. It does not have a parent company, so it was not founded with a big amount of cash, just the usual AS$10 millions. The company hasn’t transported any passenger or cargo unit yet.

It owns 3 A380 right now. That thing is very expensive. How come he could buy, not lease, so many A380 in 3 days?

In 3 days he’s selling all the planes.

This is clearly cheating. I have no doubt.

Thanks, Kasa, for discovering and announcing it. I hope AS Team punishes whoever is doing it.

Edit: Right now, 2 out of 3 of his planes are being sold for ridiculously low prices.

Have you reported it? AS Team can take an action but they need full info about the company and not a thread in the AS forums.

I also was able to get a brand new 747-8 for almost free. Since it does not fit my fleet and I would have to pay too much penalty on the maintenance, I have also leased it out. And in the market, you can’t ask for market price, but only the maximum I paid.

So I hate that I can’t earn more with it, but another lucky guy has a brand new 747-8 for only A$ 122,237.

I agree and also understand this is necessary to protect against cheaters. Sadly enough because of these measures the new market can’t fully achieve what it’s been made for: a real market with real market prices.

In which case a 747-8 wouldn’t have been sold for a bargain agree a mere 1 hour wait in the first place. I agree it makes no economic sense that a price is limited by a buying price (although people can of course bid higher than that price, which isn’t going to happen because its easy and very quick to lease a new plane at a fixed price), but it isn’t realistic either that a manufacturer or the lease organization threw those planes on the market on the cheap either.

I am not quite sure, but I assume, the market should more work in the order, that any new aircraft that is introduced into the market, is first published at the highest possible price, and only once it is to sold, the price is slowly lowered until it finds a buyer. At least the official planes should be sold that way, to avoid smart guys from getting aircraft on the cheap and then make a fortune out of it by reselling them quickly.

But I reckon, the new measures will already improve the market. So let’s see, how it works out now…

Hi,

on older servers there are many A380’s for sale at very low prices. Lower than they should be anyway. Perhaps the prices should decrease more slowly.

The old system automatically lowered the prices of second hand planes to their estimated value. The new system would be more realistic if second hand planes are not offered for less than 30% under their estimated value.

Besides… why would any player sell a plane for 10% of what he paid. Also here the down limit could be 30% under the estimated value. Or 30% under the price paid for the aircraft.
