Viking buys Bombardier Q series program

Viking has bought the Bombardier Q series present and past for $300 million. They also now own the rights for the De Haviland Canada trade mark. It will be interesting to see if they can do for the Q100/200/300 with what they have done for the Twin Otter.

Pretty impressive for a relatively small company like Viking to acquire the whole Dash 8 program. Any information about where the production line will be? Also wondering how well will Viking do with providing post sales support to the few hundreds of dashes spread worldwide.

Do you have any sources?

I  only read that Viking Air is interested in taking over, nothing more
