Wanted: Airport / Geo Data Volunteers!

Hi everyone!

As you may know, a lot of the data in AirlineSim is researched and updated by a lovely team of volunteers! And this is where you might come in – looking at upcoming data updates, we realized that we could use some extra assistance, especially in the field of airport and geo data!

The geo data team covers everything from airports, flight routes and treaties to geography related data. If you’re interested in that kind of data and would like to help us out on a voluntary basis, I’m happy to hear from you!

Hey Lena,
what does that entail in terms of workload?
Also, do you plan on any incentives (I don’t know, e.g. credits per submission, waiving some costs,…) for contributors?
The way I imagine the tasks, this should probably be a research of individual markets and passenger flows, before normalizing them on an AS scale?

Hey, thanks for your message! The workload would be completely up to you :slight_smile: We currently can’t offer any incentives though. And yes, the tasks can include researching demand, but also airport / geographical data (location, runways etc.) in general. Hope that answers your question! Cheers, Lena
