So what exactly is the benefit of a passenger terminal or a cargo terminal?
With terminal you save same money because right now you are paying AS for cargo and passenger handling in airport. If you build a terminal you wouldn’t have to pay AS and also other airlines may buy your services in terminal so it’s additional source of money but it is not recommended to build terminals then you have where to expand as they don’t give you a big profit. Better create new routes.
hmmm…the way I see it is, that the more money you can save, the more profits you can make on your current routes and not have to open new ones
well if you build terminal you will earn just little profit compared with what you can make with just one new route. And the price for constructing a terminal is high.
or in other words: the margin is ridiculously small. if you look around the forum, you will find a post by a member who did the math. it gives you a pretty good idea how much profit you will make off a terminal and how long it takes to amortize itself
It is very high…to build a passenger terminal that can handle 15000 passengers in CMN…you need to pay 18 229 050 AS$ !!!
So i highly doubt it has much benefits
it does generate a profit but the opportunity costs of not leasing more a/c instead is tremendously high.
